That's unexpected. But I don't think it will release on PS4 given by Polyphony Digital's track record which makes sense.

Maybe would be out of the ordinary for them, but it's also out of the ordinary to be releasing a game so close to the release of the next console

Maybe they've done some tiny improvements to it. Fixing dem 3 polygons. :P

But I seriously hope not. They should spend their entire time on converting standard cars to premium!

True, but it would hurt the GT6 sales.

Should have made it a PS4 launch game. Gran Turismo is a system seller, so I don't know why sony would want to give people more reason to hold onto their PS3s and not buy a PS4.

For obvious reasons.

Over 80M userbase is big reason, why release it as launch title when GT was never released as launch ever since Playstation existed? plus GT probably wouldn't sell as well as other installments in the series by making it a launch title, best timing is 1-2 years after launch.

Another factor is why should people play a PS3 game on PS4? ( wouldn't hurt that much though ) The cross-generational games doesn't offer that big of a difference from last gen, I'd rather wait for a properly developed GT game meant to be developed from the ground up for PS4 than another "up-scaled" version of GT. 

"PS3 cars and tracks on PS4 what a disappointment!", people will never be happy either way.

Lastly, Driveclub is the biggest factor, releasing GT6 at the same time of DC's release would wipe DC out. I think a big solution would have been delaying Driveclub one year and releasing GT6 on both PS3 and PS4 this year, however, especially when Sony is touting the social connectivity features on PS4, GT6 is obviously a PS3 game in mind ( basically Polyphony's crap development cycle ) which wouldn't showcase the social features of PS4 or the graphical leap as much as DriveClub..

If they fully convert all of those PS2 models to Premium models and add as much customization and damage as Forza 4, I will be extremely happy. GT has a lot to learn from Forza and could definitely use this opprunitiy to grab some inspiration.

I like American cars the most and I frown on the fact GT6 will have 50 Civics, 50 prelude versions, 50 accords. But it will have 5 Mustangs, 5 Camaro's and 7 Corvettes. That is so much fail. In 2005 - 2009 alone their were more than 50 specialty Mustangs from Saleen, Roush, Steeda and various other tuners. I'd love a 2007 Mustang 550 GT, 2008 Mustang Black Jack. 2013 Camaro SS 1LE. Million bucks says they won't be their.caseypayne69

And that's what the REAL car sounds like. Disappointed once again that GT can't get the sound effects and engine notes correct. Hopefully, other cars don't follow this example. :(

It is a crime to not have this on PS4 too. First poor decision by Sony for the next gen unless announce PS4 version as well. It will sell millions regardless, but this type of blockbuster IP NEEDS to be on the next gen system. It is the best system seller Sony has....

Also the video and pictures must be bullshots because it looks on par with Drive Club and that is impossible technically.

I will wait for proper gameplay video to judge the sound. Yes, it is still unimpressive, but it's a off-screen capture, so need a proper judgement on real gameplay videos.

That gameplay was a bit disappointing. The UI looks amazing, but the engine sounds are terrible. GT5 is a beautiful game, but the sounds dont match the visuals. If GT7 is more of the same, I'm done with Gran Turismo.
