I have watched a few videos on this game, and it looks like it will have more to do than any GT released thus far. Now to figure out if I want to get this day 1 or wait a few weeks to months considering I haven't really touched much of Elden Ring, and still have Ghost of Tsushima I am playing thru.

I still have GT Sport downloaded on my PS4 and has been on my backlog for years lol
Sounds great. We know the fact that Sony has kept supporting GT Sport for years with the addition of new cars, courses, competitions and more. Given that the GT7 base game is already this good, if Sony keeps updating it as well, GT7 would easily be the best racing sim on the market.
@navyguy21: I've played most of the GT games...I've never once experienced rubber banding.
I dunno about the latest GT's but GT1 & 2 most certainly did have it but still back in the day they were great for their time and to be fair most racing games back then had it as well.

@SecretPolice: I'd have to replay them, but rubber banding ruins a racing game for me and I don't remember ever seeing or being bothered by it in the earlier games.
@vfighter: have you played other racing games? Do you play on easier difficulty?
GT has had a reputation for years for the rubber banding and rigid AI that follow a line regardless of where the player is. I'm not saying they are bad games, the opposite in fact. I only complain because I've played them and it's annoying.
It's not as bad when you're winning because you can't see the cars behind you. Make a mistake in a turn and you watch the cars slow down so you can catch up, that's a bummer and it ruins the game and any individual incentives to get better
@navyguy21: I play a decent amount of racing games, less lately but previous gens I played a lot. Again I never noticed rubber banding. Now the racing lines and not budging from them for the AI, yeah I noticed that a lot in some of the GT games, annoying and comical at the same time.
Edit, I reread what you wrote, and I have seen rubber banding when you screw up. It's the opposite that I'm talking about (my bad), like how in some racing games even if you run a few record breaking laps, hitting every turn perfectly and bam, the other drivers are still inches away from you, like you just can't pull away from them.
@gym_lion: As long as they don't make progression or earning money in the game infuriatingly hard to force you to pay I don't see a problem with the pay to not play stuff...as in just play the game and dont pay. Pretty simple.
Well it didn't turn out to be Forza great, but it still sounds to be a solid sim for Sony nonetheless.
And this one has been in the works for at least about 5 years now and built from the ground up for this gen hardware. Likely launching sometime last half of this year.
Just so lemmings understand, GT's standard are almost twice as high as they are with Forza, so when an 8 is given, its more like a 9.5/10. I feel bad for lems not being able to play the best racing gaming on the market.
