GS Ryse review: 4.0 - KEEP ALL RYSE DISCUSSION HERE

Xbox £80 more but comes with Kinect and Fifa 14, thank you Microsoft. X1 is a just making use of the PCs ability to do more. Thank You Microsoft for the media abilities and the games.

I'll take more features over slightly higher resolution thanks. Especially since most videos don't show much improvement over last gen with the multiplats,

Well that flopped compared to what i expected it to get. Shame. I'll have to read/watch some of the other reviews as i still think it will be fun

Was anybody sincerely expecting this game to be good? All the footage shown made it seem that Crytek went out of their way into making this game devoid of any possible enjoyment. No sane person should have looked forward to this particular launch title.

It had been a long time coming. I guess it's not really surprising. Crytek has clearly made bad design decisions ever since Crysis 2. This whole cinematic gaming stuff was bound to blow off in someones hand.

That said being a shallow game seens to be the norm these days, so I wonder why now is it so bad to be shallow? Killzone SF, had a more open design, interesting ideas, not quite getting to the first Crysis level, but still it was not shallow and yet people complained that the campaign lacked focus and drive (like COD, lol).

I just can't believe this game is from the guys that made the original Far Cry and Crysis.

Watched Sessler's 8 minute review and grew tired of seeing the combat after the first couple of minutes. Can only imagine the agony of actually playing through the whole game..

Total flop. I hyped it at an 8 yesterday. Good thing I didn't buy it yet. Like like Ubi will be getting my money tomorrow.

KZ:SF = 73 and Knack = 56

Forza 5 = 82... DR3 = 78... KI = 73...Zoo Tycoon = 70... Powerstar Golf = 68 and Ryse = 60

you don't pay as much. especially when you factor in all of the free games (both "free" with plus and the truly free games)

Lemmings never hyped this game for anything other than graphics unlike cows did with Knack and Killzone. Forza is still AAAE, Xbox One is still victorious in the games department.

At least something is entertaining you considering the PS4 is the only next gen without a AAAE. Even worse the highest rated retail game is 7.0.

For reference, Wii U's worst launch game got 77 on Metacritic (technically more polarizing than bad).

Flops everywhere! I look to the left: there's a FLOP, I look to the right: there's a FLOP. The rear-view mirror shows a FLOP... and I can can see FLOPS piling up on the horizon ahead of me.

The thing is that you are letting not only another exclusive out,but several games that are on PC but not on xbox one regardless.

So if Titanfall count for the xbox one so are those on PS4.

Warframe for example it has 74% the PC version has 60% on gameranking.

Resogun is exclusive and is higher rated than Forza it has 83%.

Hell Flower is also on PS3 but not on xbox one,and has 91% on gameranking,does the xbox one has any game rated that high on gamerankings or meta even if the game is also on 360 or PC.?

The whole exclusive game may count here,but reality is that outside people are not going to say the game is also on PC so i will not get it,when the PS4 is actually cheaper than a gaming PC,or can get a better looking version.

But what about Injustice god amount us Ultimate edition is that on xbox one.? Is much better than KI and more complete to.

How about Trine 2 it has 85% with 2 reviews in.

That argument doesn't help you at all,if anything it make it worse a 2 hour arcade game is better score than a full racing game on xbox one which comes from one of the highest rated racing series last gen.

Kind of like what happen last year when Journey a PSN game beat Halo 4 here for GOTY.

Both consoles' launch titles are flops and not worth worrying about. Both consoles will get their better games later. Anyone who expected amazing launch titles is silly.

Knack and Ryse cancel each other out. X1 still won best launch since it has Forza 5 at a 9.0.

Pretty evident that gaming wise, Xbox One is a more successful launch (isn't that what Sony was aiming for). Critically, and on average, Xbox games scored better. Sure, Ryse did not do well (most didn't think it would), that being said, on a whole, Xbox Games are seen more successful (even with the arcade title-esque Resogun).

I'm not surprised by the Ryse quality, and a lot of people aren't. So, I guess we could call it a flop (although, most average review saw it getting a 7, and it has a 60 on Metascore).

The game always looked bad. Since day 1. Oh, and it was more hyped than Knack. And a bigger project it seems. Crytek has been ***** for such a long time.

Now after all the launch titles are released, my initial response it´s the same. The Bone has a better launch lineup, a slight better lineup. Luckily games are coming for both platforms.

Yeah it looked like crap.

So launch day games to get...Killer Instinct, DR3, and the Godly Forza 5.

For PS4 you can't go wrong with Killzone and Resogun.

And Wii got the AAA dopeness with Mario.

It is nice to see them using the whole range when it comes to scoring. I was just asking around to see if this is more of an anomaly or more of a new standard for GS now.
