It still sucks finding people online compared to forza 3 or even 2 . You guys can try to gloss over the flaws but if you never played forza 3 you have no idead how online racing should work. I hope that the next patch will fix some of the problem with the game. This game needs a friends list plain and simple.

I played Forza 3 but I didn't try its online because my 360 is not connected to the internet nor i have a gold LIVE so I really can't say anything about its online but for me GT5 online was as good as any other game online on PS3 I can join my friends easily and join other people rooms.

i won't say that it was not user error or anything i had not had the game long when it happened.

Before the 1st patch the online was broken you could not find anybody. The rooms in the open lounge were radomly set and had 20 digit codes that you could enter to jump into them in a gimped invite mode to get into your friends room.

Yeah, but you're predisposed to hate on Forza no matter what the subgenre, so, what person that actually has a measure of objectivity cares?

Again, what you think is not really all that relevant as you're not capable of objectivity.

Even if GT5 handles more realistically, there are things it does less realistically than Forza. Neither of them go as far as PC simulators in being realistic racing experiences.

Post history suggests otherwise, especially on this subject, but like I said, GT is more realistic in some areas, Forza is more realistic in others. They both sacrifice a lot of realism if you compare them to PC simulators.

While the original video may have been unfair, it's not much of an achievement. Even GT PSP's brain dead A.I. can manage that much.

As I said just go to your friend name near the coffee cup icon (for your friend lounge) you will find a green dot click on it and you will see where your friend is and who he is playing with also you can join him if you want.

Again, what is the motivation for the media treating GT5 differently than other games? Why is there this conspiracy against GT5?

I haven't watched the original video, but this one is pretty interesting. Seems to show that the conditions weren't equal. Also, that GT5's AI isn't as bad as it was made out to be, in the original video.

Well, GT5's AI isn't perfect, but no game's is. I find it rather smart at times, and haven't run into weird behaviors so far. For me, it's passable. I can't compare it to Forza's first-hand, because I haven't played the retail version, and don't plan on it. So, that's that.
