Fanboys? Historically GT sells HUGE amounts. More then even the largest exclusives (Including Halo)
Who's the say it wont outsell the current 360 exclusives? GT is a HUGE series, especially with people who many around here wouldnt consider real gamers. It has appeal many other games don't.

OK, U.S. 24-hour sales of Halo 3 reached 2.5 million, and the game sold ~4.5 million in its first week on the market, despite the fact that ONLY 11.6 MILLION Xbox 360 consoles had been sold around its launch.
Let's not forget that 1.7 million had preordered Halo 3 in the U.S. before a single store had began selling the game.
Let's see GT5 do ANYTHING that comes even remotely close.
Using teh math. Assuming there will around 44 million xbox's by Reach release, then reach would sell around 8? 9 million? First day?
Nah, Reach is not nearly as anticipated as the third game in the series was, "The Return of the King" (Finish the Fight and all that). Modern Warfare 2 may also have affected the sales of future Halo games. I think Black Ops may sell as much as Reach, easily, simply because Call of Duty has become an extremely powerful series recently.
Nonetheless, let's say that Halo 3 was released now - with the same level of hype as in 2007 - with ~40 million Xbox 360 consoles sold, it would easily cut Modern Warfare 2's all-platform sales record in half. But Halo's popularity, level of hype and general buzz have descended immensely since the Halo 3 launch and the launch of Call of Duty 4.
There will never be a Halo 3 again, but that doesn't mean GT5 will easily outsell Reach. Reach is going to be tough to beat.
