I remember thinking that all racing agmes would lok good as gt5 this gen. I mean gt3 and 4 were two of the most realistic games i've ever seen, yet no other developer seems to be able to match them.Shazenab
Bow down to your Polyphony overlords.
I don't even like racing games but something inside me always compels me to buy the Forza and GT games. They are so amazing.DaysAirlines
I would have picked up Forza 2, but that damn force feedback microsoft wheel disappointed me greatly. Had Logitech released a wheel, I would have bought both. :(
-low whistle- That's pretty good. But don't the environments lack?FrozenLiquidYes. We'll see if they address that in GT:5. Prologue may continue the lack...but damn...hard to even care when the rides look like that.
why is the real one at night when you can't see anything other then the car?killtacticsIt's not at night. It's in the shadow. You should watch the video. it's really cool if you watch the 720p version and scroll through the frames. It's insane how well they modeled that car.

What do you expect? Its a racing game. They haven't even shown the city race tracks yet.
Well, PGR 3/4 have fantastic looking environments.Yes, we all know the graphics are Goldy (my father walked in while I was playing the Japanese demo and said "Wow that almost looks real!")
I'm more concerned about the gameplay. The demo was fun, but I gotta say I'd still rather play Forza 2.:P
thats replay, the actual car model in game doesn't look like that, and the enviroment isn't even 3D.BovinesOnPaska
Did we watch the same video? That's one big ass sprite if that Stadium is 2D. Maybe I should get my eyes checked. Either way it looks awesome. And I'm guessing it's 3d, but maybe you no more than I do. But still it looked awesome. Did I mention it looked awesome.

The garage is quite clean now. 8)
and here's one of the reason Forza is better
damage, oh and fully customized paintjobs
crispytheone88
The damage isn't very realistic in Forza so that to me isn't a plus, unless it can be done well. The paint editor is very cool addition, but I don't think GranTurismo has ever been about pimping your ride. :)

Well, PGR 3/4 have fantastic looking environments.I think the Prologue demo looks great enviroment and cars. But the demo just has one race track. I can't judge its environments overall with just one track.

I'm hoping to see real time weather, morning/day/afternoon/night time races, and I heard they're actually thinking about putting damage but I doubt it. Would be nice to have tire damage.

Its not terribly realistic, but after Polyphonic said the car manufactures would not allow it, Microsoft got it done, and its at least a part of the game, and why can't you customize the paint in Gran Tourismo, its not terribly complicated, there are just more options, and while Forza's Graphics are not that flashy, its physics engine is fantastic

Well, PGR 3/4 have fantastic looking environments.PGR still doesn't look GT5 good but it does look sweet as hell. The surroundings look mediocre, i would never waste money on a game looking like that this gensaolin323lol You going to stop and smell the rose's? Is that what you do in Forza, stop mid race and say "damn that tree looks awesome" but my car look like crap. Oh well we all know the trees in the back ground are more important than the car your driven!
1....2....3.....4......GT5!!! ooops 6....7......

You lack knowledge of this game. The only difference between replay and gameplay are special effects and the fact that replay only runs at 30 FPS (when the camera is not attached directly to the car) and it uses motion blur. Otherwise it looks like that in the game.

The game did have great graphics, but I want at least 50 seperate tracks...not the same ones I raced in Forza which was the case in the Japanese demo.TheSystemLord1
Actually GT4 had the Susuka (I forgot how to spell it :P ) track before Forza 2. Forza 1 didn't even have it, so don't complain. :P
They will have other tracks including City ones. They just haven't showed them yet.
Oh yay, more Skyline GT-R's. :|
Forza 2 just got Road America as DLC, I think I'll stick with what I have, thanks. :)
