There was something off about this trailer...

It didn't have the impact(?) that the other games' trailers had.

Looking forward to it, though.

I've come to the conclusion that the man in the business suit (possibly the same man narrating) isn't the protagonist. It's little evidence but in the bank scene he does an elaborate animation leading off the other 2 guys into the bank. From every other GTA game, the protagonist is always led off by someone into things like that, never leading into an assault like that. When Niko Belic robbed a bank he didn't even lead in, someone else did.

I think the man talking was a possibly a story character or one of multiple characters you may get to play. Of course this is all speculation but hey what fun is there without it?

I think the multiple playable character part could be true. Kotaku called it that it's set in GTA world LA again and it turned out to be true, didn't they also say it would feature multiple playable characters?

Looks pretty good. Considering it looks to be taking place in LA, CJ should also make an appearance. If it is Tommy, then it would make sense since it's a similar location and they both have a mutual associate.

I think it's very likely that there will be an appearance of CJ in some form. I mean it's his hometown and all.

The games setting seems modern, air planes/jets comfirmed, bikes comfirmed (the scene where the guy is putting a for sale sign into the ground, in the background there is a bikecycle), seems like you'll be able to buy safe houses, it also seems like there will be multiple protagonist, and dogs. I probably missed some things, but so far I am very hyped for this.

I am like 95% sure that this game will launch in mid to late 2012. Possibly on the Wii U. But even if its not (I will be dissapointed though) I'll get the 360 verson then.

However, I do believe that it was possibly recorded using the PC version. If it was consoles, I'm surprised at the leap they made and that would make me more excited for the PC version.

EDIT: I'd want to comment more on the number 2405, now after seeing the images again it's clearly the release date of GTA V, the first image is of a postal service car which means shipment, shipments means the game will ship on 24/05.

and the second image the number is coupled again with clearer the "for SALE" sign.

If those graphics are real time then it makes Uncharted 3 look like a last gen game. :o

Whether or not the trailer was rendered in real time or not, I think its safe to say that level of visuals seem believable to what the final game could roughly look like. I mean come on, if its not why show that trailer and not something completely pre rendered or something. lol

Edit: I notice in the very beginning with the joggers that you actually see heat haze in the distance. It's a great effect to express the California heat.

I would say it is releasing on that day for sure, but with Max Payne 3 releasing in March, I just cannot see GTA V releasing so soon thereafter.

It's also a Thursday... games don't typically release on that day, but hey, look at Skyrim releasing on a Friday. It can happen.

Honestly, I'm still skeptical about it releasing in May, but this is certainly some compelling information. I wouldn't at all be shocked if May 24th does indeed turn out to be the release date.

But I made a mistake about the year of the song, I thought it was 86 ( when Tommy's story takes place ) but it is released on 68.

still the date of the song and the number on the curb matches.

It can also be a GTA IV easter egg, Sam Houser birthday is on 24/05/72 numbers that can be seen, with mod on PC due to how high it is, on a plane in GTA IV. Plus doesn't Max Payne 3 come out in March? I doubt they'd release the game shortly after.
