The title is now planned for release in the Company's second quarter of fiscal 2008. Additionally, Take-Two is updating third quarter and fiscal year 2007 guidance to reflect the movement of Manhunt 2 for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system and the WiiTM out of the third quarter and the fiscal year"

Oh well, at least have money for all the other great games coming out this year.

Good, this packed holiday needs to be spread out. I'll gladly take GTAIV in the slower months.

and COD4, PGR4, seriously it's not that bad, there are many good games this year, Mario, Metroid ect. Kinda bad for PS3 fans as they really needed this.

Well after the huge boost of console sale sfrom this holiday MS will have a bigger userbase and a AAA title to kick start 2008. Although if MGS 4 doesnt get delayed it will mostlikely lose its thunder to the much more popular GTA.

Microsoft was relying on Halo/Madden/GTA trio to take over the holiday. Most people know Sony is going to have a piss-poor holiday this year if it goes back up to $600. Althought next year Sony will have GTA/MGS/Killzone which they will probably advertise the hell out of and by that time the PS3's price will probably be around $400-$450 making it appeal to more people. Plus the 2008 holiday might see a FFXIII release that might be huge for them as well.

Fixed. This is a system selling game just like Halo 3. And if its delayed till 2008, the PS3 does not have a system selling game this year, while the 360 have Halo 3 and Mass Effect this holidays.

You have Halo and that's it. Mass Effect isn't a system seller nor is it going to sell near the amount of Halo. Sony might not have anything this year that could sell the system, but they will manage. Next year they will have GT5, MGS4, Killzone 2, GTA4 and possibly FFXIII around the holiday. What does Microsoft have in response to that lineup in one year?

it's because the bloody PS3 port couldn't be done in time, freaking cell has delayed GTA4 because R* didn't want to give the 360 a 6 month free exclusive.

so whos to blame gents?

360 not putting HDD in the core system, thus rockstar having to work around the problem?

or...

PS3 holding back the lead platform, the 360, because of its complexity to develop games?

or just maybe rockstar now having to release the game on both platforms at the same time and rockstar buckeling under the pressure?

why is mass effect a system seller because you say so ?

there are people that dont love these kind of games points to europe heavenly sword is in a better place to be a system seller over there...

they couldn't finish the PS3 port in time, and didn't want to give the 360 a free timed exclusive - (well sourced rumor). it's the stupid cell extending development cycles. 360 was the lead platform.
