I presume that is the high-end estimate, since it's coming from the developer. Probably means 6-8 hours for the rest of us.
Are you satisfied? What say you?

10 hours is fine. Especially for an FPS.
In fact, if an FPS surpassed 15-20 hours, I'd be annoyed. The genre is only so entertaining.
[QUOTE="Gh0st_Of_0nyx"]Thats about what most FPS's are in length. Its certainly not going to have the replayability of a R2 or Halo 3 tho.Lewisite
And you know this how?
Because it dosent have the CoOp features that those games have its just a straight forward single player experience.[QUOTE="Lewisite"][QUOTE="Gh0st_Of_0nyx"]Thats about what most FPS's are in length. Its certainly not going to have the replayability of a R2 or Halo 3 tho.Gh0st_Of_0nyx

Team Death Match or what ever variation of it KZ2 is going to sport will be my game of choice.
around 10 hrs is the perfect length for an FPS game.... we all know that once the sp campaign is done (maybe a couple of times )the majority of our time is spent on mp modes...
as i said in another thread a co-op mode would be a lovely addition to KZ2...
[QUOTE="LightReflection"]I thought co-op was being patched in at a later date? Not sure about that one.Dreams-VisionsI've learned not to hold my breath for earth-shattering add-on features. it took Motorstorm 8 months to get a meaningful set of features added to the game.
lets just be positive and hope GG will maybe release an update round April with 4 new online maps + co-op mode :) (FOR FREE!!!) dreaming is so much fun :)
Its a good amount of time and even at say a +- 2 hrs. that ranges from 8-12 which is not bad especially when compared to 07's best shooter COD4. Coop would be nice but it sounds like the MP suite is fully fleshed out.
And the trophies and difficulties should lend to multiple playthroughs.
I'm kinda surprised that so many are accepting that comment at face value. I think you are all smart enough to know that 10 hours is probably something of an embellishment....Dreams-VisionsI know what you are coming from but I for one do not enjoy long FPS. Resistance I am looking at you. I am not saying that FPS should be only 10hrs but I am saying for a title like K2 anything longer could ruin the game into a backtracking repetitive mess. R2 for example, I felt that the story was very shallow but I enjoyed the pacing of the action to the point that I enjoyed beating the game twice in 2 days. But this is only my opinion.

i agree with the above, we know that FPS games forte is not their story therefore i can imagine a 20hrs sp campaign would end up with repeating a thousand times the same tasks/objectives in different environments..
I'd rather have a short sp campaing like in COD4 but with a good pacing and action packed sequences... i think a 10hrs campaign is long enough and if GG make sure its well paced and action filled it will surely keep gamers entertained..

hmmm. so you all didn't like the length of Half-life? Half-Life 2? Halo? Unreal? Descent? Doom? Doom 2? Dark Forces II? Deus Ex? Bioshock? because all of those are well over 10 hours. well over 20 hours, really. Just wondering, really. I remember when this generation started and people laughed at how short some games had become. Cows laughed at the length of Kameo, Condemned, GRAW and others. Then R&C, Uncharted and Heavenly Sword came out and were shorter. Not it seems like people have just accepted extremely short games. Just an observation.hmmm. so you all didn't like the length of Half-life? Half-Life 2? Halo? Unreal? Descent? Doom? Doom 2? Dark Forces II? Deus Ex? with the exception of those which are story-oriented therefore a longer sp campaign is welcome others which are more action oriented i'd rather have a shorter campaign but action packed and well paced... obviously if devs are good enough to have long sp campaigns and still keep it fresh and varied its always welcome :)
Over three years of development and all they could manage is a 10 hour campaign (max)?
I'm tired of 8-10 hour campaigns. We pay $60 for games, why can't we get longer campaigns?
I miss 20 hour campaigns.
Seriously.
It's getting a little silly now.
Don't justify this, it will only encourage devs to continue giving us short games.
And don't use the excuse, "its an FPS", so what?
If you plan on replaying the campaign sometime in the future, chances are you would have been satisfied with a longer campaign.
If an FPS is good, the gameplay will hold up over 20 hours.
Just saying.
Yeah I read some where that you have to walk to a certain spot to trigger more enemies. I just hope these enemies aren't at the same spots during different play throughs. So I don't mind if it's only 10 hours long, I just hope every playthough is different.one_on_onewell...I think Call of Duty 2 was like that. if you don't go forward, more enemies won't pop out. as long as you don't turtle, I guess you'll be okay.
Odd considering both those games had a campaign of around 6-10 hours...KZ 2 is not Bioshock or Half-Life.
The meat of the game, like COD 4, will be the online MP.
And since it's first party, you KNOW there is already DL content being developed.
No problem.

its not bad for an FPS having a 10hrs sp campaign but I think GG made a bad decision not putting a co-op mode... lets hope they release an update/patch in which co-op is available..
Btw is it true that the game is expected to get released 1st week of Feb in EU ?

Well I didn't like Halo or Unreal once it became big on consoles but adding in Deus Ex and Half-Life isn't fair. Those games are in a whole other league. I wouldn't say that I became excepting of games being short because I didn't support R&C, Uncharted until they were half off from the original price and HS was rent. I feel that certain games should be long while others should be short. Length doesn't always = FTW. I have also enjoyed movies and albums that were shorter than others.KZ 2 is not Bioshock or Half-Life.

Odd considering both those games had a campaign of around 6-10 hours...What? What did you do? Fly through those games? I'm guessing 10 hours is perfect for KZ2. Knowing how i play most games, this one will probably take me 15 hours to complete. Yeah, i like to play my games slowly, to get the most enjoyment out of them.Yeah, i like to play my games slowly, to get the most enjoyment out of them.lusitanogamerSo you walk through them :P Yea,I'm with Toriko..I finish my games fast..It's not that I rush,I just seem to end up against the final boss or ending,in a quite short period of time.

If it were a 360 game, the reactions wouldn't be that positive, I'm sure.
Ha, you're right.[QUOTE="lusitanogamer"] Yeah, i like to play my games slowly, to get the most enjoyment out of them.Lto_thaGSo you walk through them :P Nah, i don't exactly "walk" through the whole game. I just like to explore every single place you can reach with your character. It's in my nature. I'm a huge survival horror fan and those games usually take a good amount of exploration.
