Halo 3 Graphics: Happy Yet?

See the difference over a year apart? And don't say the second one is not gameplay because it is. Like in the last two, the gameplay and cut-scenes looked exactly the same.

either way, id rather have the game look not as good as it could be but run much smoother and with more action. In fact, if the game came out tomorrow looking just like that id be ecstatic. anything else is just a bonus

I'm more impressed with the scale of the levels, 13 mile draw distance...wow. And the new pic looks great. Can't wait for E3, gamers have got it so good between the big three consoles this year, I wish they would stop complaining.NickJayD

Bungie said the distance drawing was around 10 miles or 16 km.

Theyve taken so much crap for the graphics yet have been very stubborn to the extent they pushed forward the release date despite stuff like Killzone 2 taking the hype with NO substance WHATSOEVER other than a craptastic first game

The first one looks better.......

Look at a larger picture of both. You can see that the first one has better textures and better lighting.....

I chose "No" for two reasons:

1. The new screen doesn't have armor detail that the older screen had.

2. WTF to the visor reflection. Either the Chief is staring into an explosion, or the visor reflection hasn't been implemented.

umm...the visor streches the image so it looks more realistic and the armor is new and he has not been in battle yet it looks like.DuDisNow

When I say "armor detail" I mean all the high res textures that were on the E3 Chief and the older SP Chief.

Indeed. Do people just take one glance at it or what? I really don't know how anyone believes that it looks anywhere near the E3 trailer. It still looks pretty good though.

That's obviously an in-engine cut-scene. They are designed to look as good as possible. Let's see some FP screenshots.
