I think i'll just stick to the PC version then.

^This. And again, who gives a flying fadoodle if it's not in HD? If the pixel counter weren't there to tell you, 99% of the people complaining would have no idea. Also the only version we have seen is from a much older build, so we aren't even seeing the final graphics.

[QUOTE="EliteM0nk3y"]Halo has never run at 60 fps. The only game on a console that has run at 60 fps that I can think of is Call of DutyWasdie
Lol,what?
I've lost count of how many games have run on 60fps :S
Check your sources.
Most of the games that run at 60fps are sports games or racing games with an extremely controled camera. CoD hasn't had a major graphical upgrade in 4 years.
Nothing wrong with 30fps on the consoles. 99% of people can't tell the difference anyways.
what about Ratchet and Clank?
or the upcoming RAGE?
actually, God Of War 3 runs at 45fps most of the time. it barely dips to 30fps.

I'm assuming you made that number up or do you have a link somewhere? I personally would like to see it in HD, but I guess I'm one of the crazy flying fadoodle type guys. :roll:Also the only version we have seen is from a much older build, so we aren't even seeing the final graphics.

The God of War series has an incredibly restrictive camera.[QUOTE="DarkLink77"][QUOTE="Wasdie"]^This. And again, who gives a flying fadoodle if it's not in HD? but crysis 2 pushes the xbox near limits, Halo ann not so much.
and you would know because obviously you are a well renowned developer who has developed a load of games on the xbox 360,amirite?i give up, i guess people are satisfied with 640p. let me ask you a question what looks better Halo remake, or Perfect Dark Zero?
halo remake looks way better than perfect dark zero[QUOTE="lawlessx"]
who cares? Game still looks great...
lets not forget MGS4 is also in sub HD:P

MGS4 is also a very old 2008 game. Your reaching here, It's 2011 now for a remake it's rather disapointing.
Why should we hold a remake to different standards? It's not an HD port. It's using an entirely new graphics engine as well as running the original game at the same time. And the year really makes no difference when you consider this is running on unchanged 5+ year old hardware. The system spec haven't changed.Thought it would be at least 720p at 30fps. They must be trying to push it visually, Better than laggy framerate I guess?nutcrackrIt's the lighting that the Halo games use--if the Halo games didn't utilize their high quality lighting techniques, then they could use those extra pixels. DF said the 720p upscaled image with the custom AA solution looked very good though, so to find fault with this decision... I cannot.

I seriously doubt they'll be using the remake much. It only supports 2-player co-op and I doubt you'll be able to choose your color. The multiplayer is Reach so they'll likely stick with Reach till Halo 4.who else can't wait for sum red vs blue videos? should be good

rather dissapointing to be honest for a game that is 10 years old. it should be running at 60fps and native 1080p but instead we get choppy 30 frames and 640p. 343 should be ashamed the game doesn't even look that good, in fact much worse than 360 launch titles and those games ran on only 1 core lol. although real-time engine change is something iv'e never seen before.
GotNugz
You know nothing about hardware do you? There is only so much they can do with a 6 yrd console. And I am sure the game will look on par with the rest. Man this place is so lame now.
Not surprising. Whatever tech it is that they've been using on the Halo series this gen has always seemed poorly optimizedresulting graphically/technically underwhelming visuals.
no, they are using the reach engine complete with the newer marine models and weapon models, the reason it's sub-HD is becasue it is running the reach engine and the original Halo engine at the same time so you can switch between the two at a push of a buttonThey are just adding new textures and upping the resolution a bit?
tenaka2
343 says the builds they have shown are months old even before E3. Would not surprise me if it's very close to 720p Native when its done.
It's also running TWO Engines at the same time + Halo:CEA looks awesome already. It would not suprise me if it's one of the better looking games this year.
"In introducing the E3 demo, the game's executive producer Dan Ayoub, talks about the code being significantly out of date, with later builds looking much better. We'll be interested to see how much of an improvement we see in the final game, as 343's captures do show some issues."
I wouldn't confirm anything TC until DF has got there hands on the final build of the game.
seems to me that it means nothing considering they've created an up to par engine overlay that can be switched on the fly at any time during the game that wouldn't exactly allow for hd and 60 fps unless they did some major changes to the original game it self it wouldn't be very good to have the overlay and original running at different resolutions and fps.
most of the games that achieve high resolution and fps are either hd remakes or hd releases this is an hd remaster which does not fit into those catagories.

Maybe on consoles, but definitly is not THAT good looking. I say it's rather lacking in the visual department (even though it was on purpose, reviewers should not let them get away with that.)
