Heavenly Sword slaughters Gears of War visually

This game is so impressive, I dare anyone to say these shots aren't impressive. If 360s GPU is so much more "powerful" than PS3s, it sure isn't showing it. PS3 uses RSX+Cell for Graphics, so it has a lot of power thats not shown. I can only imagine how Killzone 2 will look. Anyway, I'm so excited for this game. I don't think theres a console game that looks better.

Now for the people saying "but teh no gameplay shots"

It does look impressive. And it's definitely possible for Killzone 2 to look that good. They are both using the PlayStation Edge development tool after all, which has already proved itself in Motor Storm.

Is this surprising? Gears will be (or at least close to) a year old by the time HS is out. Graphics improve over time, who knew?

In-engine cut scenes everything will look better than the actual gameplay.

No it doesn't, it's good to look at but it's not on Gears level.

If you compared Lair and Uncharted to Gears then I would agree with you.

No CGI folks. Ninja Thoery stated they put no CGI in the game. The cutscenes are slighty enhance over the gameplay screen though. Now once HS2 come out I expect the cutscenes and the gameplay to look the same.IbukiNinja

Slaughter's Gears? No :|. Does it look better than Gears though? Thats debatable, depending on which graphical style you prefer(or in some people's cases, which "faction" they reside with).ultima-flare

Well for one, only blatant lemmings would ever try and argue that Xenos is "much more" powerful than the RSX. As this generation plays out it's becoming more and more plausible that the two consoles' respective architectures leave them pretty much neck-and-neck in capabilities.

Two, judging by reviews and comparisons not only here at Gamespot but many other sites, it's been Sony who has over-promised and (thus far, anway; it's bound to change in the coming months) under-delivered with the PS3.

Ign has some of the worst pics and vids of games of the many major game sites.

U havent heard of Bioshock, Mass Effect, Lost odysessy and Too Human have u? btw, Bioshock looks better than HS :P

And basically i'm saying that HS had more Dev time than Gears ( cuz it was supposed to be out at launch, then January, then March, now September) so it should look better otherwise that would be and embrassment to the devs

I'm not saying it doesn't look better than Gears. I am just saying it doesn't "slaughter" Gears like the thread title says. To me a slaughter would be like comparing GT:HD to Ridge Racer 6.

Mass Effect does not look better than Gears while in gameplay, Lost Odyssey also doesn't look as good as Gears. Bioshock looking better than HS, :|:?:):D:lol: What will Lemmings think of next.
