Heavenly Sword slaughters Gears of War visually

I didn't need to manipulate anything. It was blatently obvious that he posted old shots in an attempt to make the game look bad. It backfired, so i'm done here. New shots always negate the old shots.

Based on what I have seen thus far, Heavenly Sword easily looks better than Gears in my opinion. Especially when you add in the beauty of the artwork/artstyle of the enviroments which smokes the too shiny, and over bloomed Gears of War. Heavenly Sword looks so good, it does not need to be masked by excessive bloom everywhere, which tends to give that shiny plastic look when over used.ironcreed

Mass Effect uses a whole galaxy were as gears is just on earth so the graphics spread through the whole universive including the citadel,sakaguchi said that Using the Unreal Engine 3, everything is being done "in engine" and the cutscenes are being done in real time. The look is very sharp and detailed, very much a third generation Xbox 360 title. The goal is the have this title look better than Gears of War. A tall order indeed. and i agree heavenly sword does look better than bioshock i want heavenly sword more than biososhock but im still buying it.what will cows think of next.

Graphically RR7 and RR6 are the same so it don't really matter. They just added a few new things to RR6, renamed it RR7, then released it on ps3.

As you can see, when Mass Effect isn't hiding behind its "1 highly detailed character with blurry background" screenshots, Gears easily looks better than Mass Effect. Therefore, HS could easily win best visuals on consoles this year.

Looks fine to me from what I have seen.The person playing the game in the new video plays like crap though, lol. It is actually supposed to be very fluid with mutliple fighting styles and weapons. I know I am excited for it just because I personally dig games like this, and this one looks absolutely killer from my perspective.

I wasn't impressed with the gameplay videos. Nothing but Hack and slash looking. Doesn't matter if the graphics looked photorealistic, it still wouldn't interest me. Give me Ninja Gaiden Sigma or NG2 over it anyday.

We'll see how HS looks when it releases...Sony is known for putting up a smokescreen when it comes to graphics.

Umm Actually I do lets look cuz teh point of ur thread is this game looks so much better than gears...and this was hyped so badly to own gears back in nov....

let looks at the time line:

2005: gears is announced, HS is announced bothe with release dates in 2006

May 2006: Gears announced for nov 2006, HS announced as a launch title (cue cows cheering for jioy saying it will look better than anything on teh 360)

October 2006: HS not launch title anymore set for December

Nov 2006: Gears released, HS backed to January

Jan 2007: HS backed to March

March: HS back to Sept., then Fall 2007, then Sept again...

So unless HS actually came out at teh same time as gears ur thread has no point.

I posted one of the best screens I could find for Bioshock:| and I posted no screens of Gears to compare to HS either, pretty much everyone in the thread said the game looks better than anything on 360. As for the 10 month dev part, did you ever stop to think that graphics aren't the only thing in videogames that needs to be improved;)

Gears still looks much better to me, maybe its just the art style
