[QUOTE="Clank-PS-Snake"][QUOTE="Anjunaddict"] 7.0 = good. Check the ratings here on Gamespot dude, it says it right there. Im sure many people would be happy with another "good" game or possibly even "great" game. Oh, and what exclusives does Sony have coming out in April? Oh right, nothing. Anjunaddict

Most people don't even play A games, this game might be dissapointing but no way is it going to get an A score it's better than that. Lol at your weak attempt at making 7.0 look like a good score. Anyway PS3 doesn't have any exclusives in April neither does 360 as this is on PC aswell. Plus PS3 has already had Heavy Rain, MAG and GOW3, 360 has had nothing.

LOL i stopped reading when you said 7.0 doesnt equal a good game. Um yeah it does, it says so on gamespot. And actually I think you'll find most people don't just play AAA games.

Lol i never said that.

Quite the walk, from Belgium.I think this is the most stupid thing, you know, not being able to rent games.

That´s pretty far indeed.

It is stupid, although here I think it´s because the stores have to pay the publishers quite a slice and that probably wouldn´t be very profitable for them. I had one once near home, but the guy was renting illegally so he got shut down. This was a long time ago,the 16 bit gen was still on.

Curious. Tangent discussion, but to all those who say they're not allowed to rent...how are these restrictions coded in your law? I'm curious because in the US, renting is not only allowed but sanctioned by law (Copyright Act of 1976) even if it's falling into disfavor for other reasons.

People should watch this video:

Maybe it'll change your minds.

Yeah but some people on here have no imagination and think you have to run n gun and then say that this is not a stealth game. It is nice to have options though isn't it.

And then those people have the nerve to call others casuals.

I'm curious about what the reviews will be like.

If they all say that the game is incredible, then please tell me I'm idiot for over analyzing the demo.

But I suspect that the reviews won't be great (I think the reviews will be average though because the gaming press won't want to totally trash a major release as it would serve to hurt the industry they work in - just like how so many reviews gave GTA IV a 10/10 and forgot to even suggest that it may not be as fun as San Andreas and its missions may be a tad repetitive).

I was underwhelmed by the demo. Not only did I fall thought the terrain twice in the same play through but I thought he AI was the worst int the series yet. Some time they would litterly look sam in the eyes for 6 seconds or more before they realised he was there. It also seemed like a graphical downgrade for the series. I would rather play Double Agent.

Ah,that´s a good question indeed.

Videogames rental is legal here, but no store that I know is interested in doing so these days.

Like I stated in my previous post,I used to have one that did near my house many years ago,but it was illegal renting so ASAE(the authority around here for these kind of matters)closed the store. He wasn´t paying any money to the publishers nor he was authorised to rent games in his store.

It requires a license that he didn´t possess.

Blockbuster also rented games for awhile, but they stopped doing so because the profits were too low.

There are no real restrictions for renting games in Portugal,it´s just that no one wants to get a license to do so and pay to the publishers as well.

You're entitled to your opinion, but I thought it was decent, and probably isn't doing the whole game any justice. I'm still buying it, just because of the Splinter Cell series, and their track record.

I'm still anticipating it and hoping that it isn't as bad as that double agent trash.I'm getting an Assassin's Creed 2 vibe from it where graphically it doesn't look as good, but it plays a hell of a lot better. We have a lot of revisionist thinkers here. Splinter Cell has always had janky ass gameplay.

I'm giving the game a chance. You can't judge it by a really short demo.

Ok, so I'm the topic poster and I just completed the full game.

And.....this is difficult to admit......but......it was a very good game!

I think I just didn't get how to effectively use the whole mark and execute thing from the demo, but halfway through the game I got really used to it and began feeling like a bad-ass.

The other parts of the game (the chase sequence, the Iraq war part), were pretty fun too.

And the terrorist hunt and other modes are pretty cool.

I bet that if I went back and played the demo now, it would seem better in context (I might just go do that).

Although I still wish they made this a different line of games and still kept the real Splinter Cell style games going.

Seems to me SCC is a victim of change much like Banjo N&B though N&B strayed much further from it's roots but still a great game and many wish Rare had just used a different character and called it something other then Banjo. :P
