is there any particular reason why you didn't do any research before posting this? the 360 still has more high scoring exclusives than the ps3 and they are not available for the pc.

As far as sales are concerned, certainly it's NOT.

However, since Nov 2006, PS3's game library has very much improved and it's only getting better ;)

It's winning in games... Yes... It's also winning in sales these couple of months.

they been a few 100 k behind 360 for 13 straight months in the usa. after this months strong slim sales ps3 will be just on par each month. they will win this month by 100 k or so over both wii and 360.

Ok, I know we are all very happy, because reportedly, the PS3 topped hardware charts this month (keep in mind that we have no official numbers yet, and therefore, no concrete proof). Be that as it may, we can safely declare that the PS3 is buoyed by an optimism that it was lacking since its launch.

However, it's only been a month, and cows have (as usual) pounced upon the opportunity, already declaring that the 'Ps3 has won,' or that 'Sony is winning.' How? Last I checked, the PS3 had a nigh insurmountable sales gap seperating it from the other two systems, and its software sales were in the gutter. How can anybody who is even slightly rational claim in their right mind that Sony or the PS3 are at the top?

I know we are all excited at the PS3 finally getting its due. But we'd do well to stay calm, and see if this success at the very least sustains itself.

Actually yes, the figures are for 2008, I think. But those were all I had.

Maybe people voted for PS3 because it has more AAAE's this year? Again, I havn't seen many threads of Cows talking about how the PS3 has won. Well, I saw at least half a dozen threads yesterday, saying, variously: 'The PS3 has won.' 'Is the PS3 winning?' 'Has Sony won this gen?' 'Sony has won this gen.'
Now, I really would like to see Sony do well... honestly, I would. But to actually have the nerve to proclaim Sony is winning (when clearly it is not by ANY yardstick) smacks of blind, unreasonable fanboyism, and that just puts me off.

It is 3rd place in install base and has the least number of high rated exclusives, those aren't signs of a winning system.

People usually say that the PS3 is winning this year in terms of games, not anything else.

The PS3 is a great console for exclusives, however the Xbox 360 is my choice for all multiplats due to its superior controller & massive Xbox Live community. I could care less about what console is winning & I think everyone that goes around counting up A's for each are weirdly obsessed & need to grow up.

I'm also hearing that Konami may keep the Solid in the title for sales and marketing sake, so it's conflicting right now. We'll just have to wait and see how it pans out, but as far as the game goes.

I just lost a thousand hype points for this title. Sigh... ok, fine, there IS Forza Motorsport and Halo Reach, they'll keep my 360 busy.

As for the Wii, it (finally) has an overload of upcoming great titles, and the PS3's library never looked better.

Good time to be a gamer.
