How can Digital Downloads be the future

When the rest of the world operates under different download regulations than the US?

Take a game like Halo 4 what's it 16gigs for both discs? Assuming you are close to your alounce without downloading games that's an extra 32$ just to download it on top of the initial price. And that's not including patch's DLC or anything else. Even if they lowered DD prices by 10$ (which they won't) You're still paying 82$ for a game that should only cost you 60$.

Digital Downloads taking over "yeah" not in Canada it ain't, I can only assume that the UK, EU, and Australia arn't much better probably worse.

UK, EU, and Australia have the crappiest internet service. That is all I heard about from my Aussie, Brit, Ireland, and Scotish friends on xbox live. Holy geez. I dont mind virtual console download for non-disc games but I prefer to have the disc and art if I pay for a title. Old system digital downloads no sweat. New stuff, I want the disc.marinevetstl

Dunno what the fvck you're talking about. I live in Scotland and get a damn good internet connection. No data caps or whatever.

Eastern Europe get's the best connection ever 20 euros for HDtv and 50/mbps without download limit! No wonder some people complain of psn being slow !!!

doesnt matter what "some" people have for internet. MOST people are in range of decent to great internet speeds and even free hot spots..DD is going to happen and im surprised its not totally taken over already.

Well it is "the future". Unless you think the infrasructure will never evolve.

Europe have recently invested millions on improving the infrastructure, including the UK, so the broadband around here is getting better.

Before I was stuck at up to 8Mb with monthly usage limits in my town, and now it's 24Mb with unlimited usage.
