Nope there was alot more shown in the Infamous trailer then that of what was shown of Alan Awake. In Alan Awake it was basically just a man shown just standing there while they show how pretty the backrounds are. In Infamous you saw the main character and he had special poweres he uses so it was something to get excited about plus he was running all over the place.

And no actual gameplay, just CGI...

When making these claims there are important things overlooked.

First and foremost is the fact that they've not been released. Anything said now is on speculation and often times baseless opinion. They may look good on paper and in development but delivery may be bitter or sour. Remember Daikatana or however it was spelt? Remember Lair? Do not forget your history. Nothing is infallible and it isn't over until it's over.

Secondly. Does Microsoft have to "beat" the 2008 lineup of the PS3? A hit is a hit no matter when it is released in a console's timeline. Obviously it's better to get it out sooner and build up from there or challenge the opposition. In this case the 360 already has a lot of good hits out and will get more in the near future. It's safe to say that the 360 is in a good position for 2007. It isn't unheard of prosperity carrying over, too, you know.

Thirdly. 2008 is a long year and there's still time before it even begins. There may be projects as of yet unannounced. Sometimes it's better to keep a tight lid on it instead of blabbing to the world you got four aces.

Also. Regardless of your opinion on graphics, gameplay, sales, or whatever. . . a handful of games that do exceptionally well in all these areaswilllikely trump a lot of games that do fairly good in these areas.

Just a few things to consider before you wave that little victory flag.

Well I'll still be playing Halo 3, Mass Effect and yeah, Puzzle Quest, long into 2008, but in terms of Microsofts 08 lineup I think there's plenty of stuff to cater to all tastes. Especially if you include things that you can get on 360 but not on PS3, such as Left 4 Dead and potentially Project Offset.

Ninja Gaiden 2 will be an awesome game too. Banjo will be out, maybe even PD2 if we're lucky. Halo Wars will probably do good too. C+C3 proved that an RTS port could do well, what's to stop an RTS built from the ground up for console going even further and being truly great? Fable 2 will be another great game. More JRPG fare in the form of Cry On, ID, and LO... Too Human is still coming, as in Alan Wake, Splinter Cell 5.

Metal Gear Solid 4 = This will be great, no doubt bout that.

Little Big Planet = I'm not even gonna comment on this, hardly a groundbreaking game.

Socom: Confrontation = Socom... like... sucks :P

Killzone 2 = Looks like a solid shooter, then again, so did the first one. It'll be a good shooter at most.

Tekken 6 = Tekken has gotten boring. The only way Tekken 6 could go any better is if Namco find some way to funk it up in a MAJOR way!

Gran Turismo 5 = For it's target audience, it's gonna be a huge hit

Disgaea 3 = W...wow, a sequal to a series that's not all that great anyway!

White Knight Story = Could be yourstartersbefore you get stuck into Final Fantasy, nothingfantastic, though (Graphics look awesome btw)

Final Fantasy XIII = After FFXII, I wouldn't be too excited for this. But the clips and stuff from the game look amazing. ThoughSquare-Enix have been dissapointing since they entered the 21st century

Those two statements are completely wrong. GT as a series is higher rated then PGR and last time I checked more GT games got AAA then PGR. Also the Resistance comment is false because Resistance sold over 2 million units.
