How did Demon's Souls get so popular???

You get it from ostrava which you meet in 1-4. You don't need to beat the 1-4 boss to get to Old King.

Yes, because he won't show up in 1-3 and 1-4 if you didn't rescue him in 1-1 and 1-2. It's a real pain because sometimes he glitches and doesn't appear at all.

Shouldddd be able to beat 1-3 and try out 1-4 tonight. We shall see.

After class the other night,I had a glass of absinthe to loosen up,and proceeded to play Latria..I had goosebumps up and down both arms.

As for the Valley of the Defiled,the first time I played DS,I made the mistake of going there at a low lvl without any widow lotus,or any items or high stats that helped me resist disease/plague.. :|

Now that DS is mega popular,i'm waiting for all the sheep mainstream reviewers that trashed From Software and their' games in the past.To turn around and go off about how they're huge longtime King's Field fans. :roll:

Finished 1-3 and 4-1 last night. Finally made that dragon knight sword I was talking about. That thing kicks ass. Rips apart the skeletons in 4-1 so quickly. Even the red eyed ones.

This is the best game on the PS3, to me. Playing a mage swordbunny right now (bow also), magic primarily with no armor. Its really an amazing game if you love character customization. Gonna try a pure katana swordbunny with just end, dex, and strength whenever I manage to new game+. 30 hours in so far, soul level 60 something. 2-2 is kicking my butt though. Dang world is getter blacker and blacker on me due to the 3rd reaper...mbrockway

Because it's the best RPG to come to PS3 and it didn't popup out of nowhere. People have been waiting for this since it came out in Japan and got raved about.

yeah seriously, i've been trying to get my hands on it for a week now, been to, three gamestops in my town, gamestop a town over, my local best buy all sold out, apparently word of mouth is helping this game sell, would be nice if i can finally get my hands on it.

not sure, but after seeing the video review from IGN i will definately give it a try

Hmmm was debating it, from the description it said it comes with a guide book, is the guide book actually usefull or is it one of those helps you for like the first two chapters then your one your own type deal?

I asked this in a previous thread and was told any class that wears plate armor is a good starting class, I just wanted to ask again any suggestions for a person thats going to be starting out in this game, the most forgiving job i.e. the easier job class to start out as lol.

Well I just beat the Maneater last night and proceeded with the Dragon Lord. Then took out the Black Phantom Monk which I thought was pretty easy. The Dragon Lord and the Monk were pretty easy as long as you have enough Full Crescent Grass to recover every damage you take.Bazooka_4ME

I have heard enough good things about it to finally want to get a PS3. A $299 slim doesnt hurt matters.

Bow and arrow is your friend, getting a Viscious compound long bow +5 made early in the game makes first playthrough a breeze. Also unlock the NPC that sells hard arrows.

It's an incredible game. I'm glad it's as well known as it is. I wish Muramasa would get the same recognition on here.

My bad, it's Dragon GOD not Lord. The thing I find strange about the bosses so far is that the boss you fight before the final boss seems tougher than the final ones. Anyways, I just got through listening to the soundtrack and man, those tracks does creep me out. My fav is probably track #7 (forgot the title).Bazooka_4ME

I never heard of this game until recently, but from what I've seen it looks kinda fun... It looks like it has a strange, older game feel to it.
