PC gamers constantly make these threads in hopes that us console gamers will acknowledge them... or at least remember that they exist. Its like when a kid misbehaves at school in hopes that someone will finally pay attention to them.
Anyways, how do I feel about this? ZERO AFFECT. I still need to pickup Lost Odyssey and I can't wait for GTA4.

Remember our existance?
There are 263 MILLION PC GAMERS, thats more than All next gen consoles COMBINED
[QUOTE="Painballz"]You don't need run Virus scans as long as you don't go to any stupid sites or download suspicious files.
Gaming on my PC is hassle free and its like that for most pc gamers, so yea try again
SeanBond
I wasn't just referring to virus scanning. I was referring to scanning for adware (which, I'm sorry, you should do regardless), defragging your harddrive, deleting unused files, etc. People like to claim that the PC is "much more versatile", but this comes with a few tradeoffs. Maintenance of a PC (while easy enough) is still more complicated than that of the consoles, and unless you're using separate harddrives for your games and for the rest of your stuff, the more crap you throw on the HDD, the more of a performance hit you take. Obviously this is nitpicking, but if you add it to the fact that some people like the simplicity of the consoles, and that a lot of people prefer the exclusives that come from support from Japanese devs (something more rare on the PC), it's not hard to understand why plenty of people choose the consoles over PC.
Just because a PC isn't as simplistic as a console (Casualized) doens;'t mean it requires much of anything
What PC games have you ever played? (I'm guessing none)
It feels awesome because I know the next PC I build will be a beast.
Console gamers that aren't into PC gaming miss out. Though not as much as PC gamers who aren't into console, they surely miss out on alot of unique titles.
But regardless I try to have as many systems as possible, and my new PC for Starcraft II, Crysis and Guild Wars II will be one of my systems.
Though I must say I can't see myself buying a 360. It's excellent titles seem to migrant over to PC or they already exist on PS3..
Orange Box (dominant on PC), Bioshock (also dominant on PC, COD4 (just as good on PS3 dominant on PC), Oblivion (better on PS3 dominant on PC), Gears is better on PC with the right hardware, Halo 3 may come to PC but eh.. I already got bored of it, Mass Effect has been improved for PC, GRAW is certainly good on the other platforms, an oldy COD2 is better on PC. And I'll stop there. So yeah owning a PC is underrated by console lovers.
Microsoft does an excellent job, bringing PC like titles to it's console for a lower price, but come on PC is Microsoft's cup of tea and it shows. Having to constantly get it fixed, most people do not know how to work on there own computers. Every couple months my parents have to get their IT guy to clean it up so it will run normal, and that is just from going on the lame sites that they use. Also you have to keep upgrading it to play new games. Or you can turn down everything and make the games look like crap. Those are just a couple I am sure people could add many other problems.

Your parents are typical PC NOOBS, Most people who actually now how computer work don't need a IT guy to come clean it up.
The problem is with you and your family not the PC
My PC hasn't been running fine and strong for 1,5 years

Why do I always have to repeat myself about PC's... Anyone that has one knows what BS you have to deal with.
1. Viruses
2. Spyware
3. Upgrades (software)
4. Security
5. Compatibility (hard and soft)
6. Tweaking
7. Maintenance
And so on...
I just get a console... Plug it in and get to gaming.

I'm not defending the OP, I hate threads like this, but you're overestimating a lot of things here (and even mentioning things more than once). I'd say, for instance, that Maintenance encompasses 1-6, and therefore probably shouldn't be there.
Also, and this is complete honesty, I haven't had a computer virus in a good 10 years (I was 13 and didn't know what I was doing back then). The only spyware I end up with is 'tracking cookies,' which are unavoidable and ultimately not very damaging. I'll admit that things like Vista SP1 (released yesterday) have given me trouble - had to reinstall a few drivers - but on the whole, those kinds of problems are minimal.
The bottom line is, if you take the time to learn about the PC you're buying, you'll enjoy it a lot more than if you blindly buy one and treat it like any other appliance.
The games are just rehashes and the same old same old, PC has way more than sensless hack and slash
......This has nothing to with the topic..but what games are talking about on the 360 that a hack and slash..about 4 games about 500 games are hack and slash.
wait, what rehashes are on the 360? ninja gaiden 2? gears of war 2, too human?
wait, so your telling me that the pc doesn't have rehashes, but the 360 does?
also, most of those "hack and slash" games, are rpgs.
do you even know what a "Rehash" is?

Haha, the thing I dislike about graphics cards is that you can guarantee that a new, slightly updated version of it will come out a couple of months after you buy it..
That doesn't mean the card is not going to run games at max.

then its the fault of your parents. that situation reminds me of all the lame apple switch ads. and as for having to keep upgrading, you don't have to, a PC can easily last 5-6 years, if you don't mind turning down the settings. it'll be the same thing with a console, its graphics look increasingly worse over time when compared to newer and newer pc hardware and graphics.[QUOTE="darkspineslayer"]oh i have that PC, i'll send you a pic if you don't believe me, waiting for starcraft 2 with great anticipation, however i just prefer consoles. i have nothing agenst playing on PC when it has a game like starcraft 2/crysis (i would have it if i were 17...) i just prefer the social aspect.darkspineslayer

how do u feel knowing its gonna be outdated in 6 months ..whereas consoles arent for 3-4 yrs atleast Amit_Raj
the minute consoles are released they start to become outdated - things are usually out on PC within a few months that can't be done on consoles to the same detail. so don't try that one against hermits :) just because they still make games for your outdated console hardware it doesn't mean it's not out of date and being spanked by PC software.

Not this generation. I've played all the latest pc games maxed out yet I'm still impressed by console graphics.
The gap this gen is much smaller than last. Only pc game thats spanking console graphics also spanks any pc that tries to run it. Crysis
