How exactly is the Playstation VITA overpriced?

Weren't people saying that i could be as high as $300-$350 before it was shown at E3? Then SONY decides to take a blow and sell it at $250... and still people are complaining? ...poor people...

Because this is SW, people complain about everything and anything!

i dont think its overpriced, very decent price for one of the best handhelds to probably ever come out, cannot wait!

because not only do you have to pay $200+ but you also have to pay for the over priced memory card. and if you're dumb enough to get a 3G version you also have to pay $25 a month for slow internetmems_1224

But when someone can get a xbox 360 for 199$, with a near infinite game library and behemoth games like Witcher 2, Skyrim, Mass Effect 3, Fable, Halo, Dark SOuls etc, it is rather hard to pay 250$ for a new on the market handheld that has a tiny game library and no BC with PSP UMDs

also are you seriously comparing a 6yr old console gaming library to a 2 month old system which has yet to be released in the US/EU markets ???

lol. So is this a bias towards handhelds or tech altogether? The Amazon Kindle is sold for a small loss but costs as much as the 360, is it overpriced?

Jeez... If people just think about it, they will see that the Vita has almost the power of a PS3 and it's an handheld! That's £230 for you and it sounds reasonable for what you will get.

The 3DS got a price cut.

If Sony had decided to stick to the new format has the save device (So you save ON the game Cartridge, like they originaly had planned it seemed) or have built-in memoryinstead of having a few games FORCE you to buy a (Brand new )Memory card instead of the older Memory stickin order for them to work Sony would not have these complaints.

I feel 250$ for the system isn't bad its the overpriced memory cards that do it for me also not really intrested in paying 50$ a pop for handheld games.

It's not overpriced. Aren't they selling it at a loss? The memory cards are overpriced. I think when people say that the Vita is overpriced, they don't mean that they are overcharging for the hardware, they just mean that they don't want to invest that much money into handheld gaming.

*Shrugs* The cards are...alittle expensive for my tastes, when the cards drop in price or cards bundled with the Vita you will probably see a sales increase.
