I agree. Most of the community is made up of Killzone vets such as me. It is very much alive and breathing. The people that say its dead are lemmings that simply are here to bash the game.

The online isn't quite dead, but finding a good match can be troublesome. I don't like having to play with people in other regions, who take ridiculous damage before dying, if I want to play. That's my only real beef with it.
I don't have a problem with the controls, but I think they drove a lot of people away, which hurt the community. So, I do hope they tighten them up a little for K3, just so the online can be more active. Even right after launch the online was about the same as it is now, so it's not dying, it was just never all that popular.
idk wtf people are talking about when they there are only like 50 people on at one.. Ive never ever seen that few amount of people. Theres always tons of people playing online
compared to U2 with about 60-70k games, that's small... and MUCH smaller compared to Halo... :P yoshi_64I'm just curious, what other games on the 360 that has more than 100K players online besides Halo?

Good question. I'd answer that if I played more games online... :P Only online games I really play are always low in number (fighting games) and "popular" games I play are Halo and U2... so I cannot answer that one frankly....

[QUOTE="Grawse"]I do love that demo.Me too. I love it more whenI invision Michael Bay's face is on all my enemies' heads. The joy. :twisted:I was playing the new Transformers demo yesterday and I saw 5400 people online. More than the 1000 I used to see in Killzone 2 in November :D

Epic campaign? The campaign sucked. Multiplayer seemed okay, but I only played a couple rounds and never really got into it.DragonfireXZ95
I disagree. I also felt that the campaign was epic. The controls seemed to be the major problem for those who didn't enjoy the game but they felt just fine to me. Looking at the average scores from critics and everyday gamers alike, I'm sure many would agree. I haven't played MP so I can't comment on that.
Oh great, now that I have dispelled the rumour that the online is dead, people are going to start ragging on the campaign, you just cannot win in system wars can you, Killzone 2 is a great game, among the best FPS of all time and there is no reason to hate on it.Epic campaign?
It was horrible and don't let me spell that out for you.Lto_thaG

Way to put words in his mouth. Maybe you should actually take the time to find out why he thinks it sucks instead of just having the usual "oh no, he didn't like a game I like. I must proceed to make up an argument for him so that I can make his opinion look stupid" type of response.

Check out this, it's straight from KZ.Com and it says that therre have been 10,000 players over the last week and 10,000 players over the last night, that isn't a dead community to me, I easily found a game when I played just a few hours ago, and It was definetly a nice change of pace from all the arcade shooters I have been playing lately, People also forget about KZ2's epic campign and it's overall brilliance so I just wanted to share this with you all, thank you.

Brilliance? I thought it was a great FPS that hit all the right notes (expect for story but I think the stories in the vast majority of FPS games suck balls), but brilliance is pushing it. It's an FPS doing all the standard FPS stuff. Half-Life 2 it is not.

Since when is realistic running in moon boots and aiming with barbells hanging from your gun?

The level design,I didn't like it at all.Sure, you can go for the dark/gritty graphic style, but that doesn't appeal to me.Also the levels didn't feel epic.Hell,it felt tedious just finishing the last missions. Not everyone can like this game.[QUOTE="Lto_thaG"]

The campaign was never horrible, imo. Of course the game isn't going to appeal to everyone, no game ever will. True, the game doesn't do anything new but I do not know of any FPS that really does. However, it does almost everything a modern FPS should do right. Personally, I loved the dark and gritty atmoshphere. It adds to the feeling of fighting in a real war. Pretty, colorful environments just wouldn't do this game justice. The atmosphere is intense and chaotic and the dark nature of this game fits it perfectly. The game never became tedious for me due to the great pacing.
Highly imposing. Let's also forget the fact that Halo 3 had 1 million unique users playing it daily, 2 years after launch.iDefineInfinityYou need to remember that Halo 3 is aguably the most popular fps of all time and has sold over 10 times as many games than KZ2. Not to mention the tons of different exclusives the PS3 has had over the last two years that users can play.

From a technical aspect it is.KZ2 online isn't dead. :|I'm embarrassed for cows how they keep trying to pretend KZ2 online isn't dead.. :|

After 5PM western time there is always a few games going and if you change it to worldwide then there is more and at different times. I play once in a while inbetween games. But I do not play games more than 30 hours a week.

Yes it was a big flop, hence why it was crowned the 2009 MP game of the year here on GS. And Halo Killer? I admit the first one was hyped as such but 2nd... no way, even Guerilla themselves said that in no way was their game supposed to be a halo "killer", whatever that means. It's just another experience which i personally prefer a hella lot more than Halo.

To make an assertion such as that, it is required that you have proof. And sure enough, there is no proof supporting your statement.Killzone 2 is definitely dead. .
