My knowledge of the Final Fantasy series is insufficient to make a statement as to which is the worse. Once I've beaten the core series I will comment. See you in 20 years or so.

FF14 would be my guess, but out of the ones I played, it's probably 12.

Disgusting world and character design, annoying characters, forgetable soundtrack, laughtable villain, corridor-like level design, terrible voice acting, repetitive puzzles, Blitzball... I could go on forever. The combat system was quite good though.

I dislike FFXIII, but I"ll have to go with FFIII both the original Japanese version and the DS remake. FF14 is pretty bad as well.

The Junction System was terrible. Drawing magic was such a dumb idea because you never really even have to use the magic anyway (just use it to stat boost) and they couldve at least made you be able to skip GF summons.

Out of those listed, FFXII. FFIX and X were terrific, FFVIII and FFXIII were pretty good, but FFXII was just "okay."

That being said FFXII wouldn't be my least favorite. The worst FF's for me would be FFX-2 and FF Tactics Advance and FFIII.

You havent played FF Mystic Quest, FF XI, or FF XIV to make such a statement.

None of the ones you listed. Maybe 2? I kind of feel like a lot of FF games are more or less equal to each other. Starting with IV,

IV=V > VI=XII=XIII > VII > VIII=IX > X

But then again this is mostly concerning storytelling. If I were to throw gameplay into the mix, I really don't know what I would get. FF is such a mixed bag. As storytelling got better, gameplay got worse. And then in reverse later on. The most balanced game would probably be FFX I think, despite the fact that VIII is my favorite.

I'm not counting the online games.

Just curious... Do the people who ask "Why is Final Fantasy (insert number here) on the list?" not see that people are voting for those numbers, and therefore, they're perfectly deserving of spots on the list? Can you really not see past your own preferences and recognize that others just might not share them?Boomshaffted

But then again you also have to spend a lot of time on the drawing magic system to become overpowered, and thus people complain the game is boring because it's all draw draw draw. But if you think about it's like being bored because you're spending too long grinding anyways.

This is seriously one of the smallest aspects of FFVIII's plot, it's a wonder it's blown up to be some huge issue.

Played Every single FF in the main series, and i'd say 13, or 8. Now if you know your FF and you played them all, 13 can't be your fav (Story wise i mean, i know, i know, its graphics are pretty) (im sorry just my opinion) Second worst would be 8.
