I really don't think IV is any better than V. They both have silly stories. They both have similar graphics. FFV's gameplay is a little better. I honestly think I like FFIV more, but I think they're very similar.

My favorite FF (most favorite left) are FFIV-FFVIII-FFVII-FFVI I don't know how people can say FFVIII is bad, it was awesome for me.kuraimen

Disgusting world and character design, annoying characters, forgetable soundtrack, laughtable villain, corridor-like level design, terrible voice acting, repetitive puzzles, Blitzball... I could go on forever. The combat system was quite good though.

That's funny. Everything you mentioned we're my favorite parts of the game. I loved the characters in every way (except in battles, some were extremely useless), had a great soundtrack that I can really only say IX beats, the corridor-like level design allows for a better story telling experience, where you lose exploration but gain a more straightforward, understandable, meaningful story. I don't know which villian you find "laughtable," as there were many villians. Blitzball was awesome if you got into it, just another fun minigame to waste time on. As for the repetitive puzzles, I can't really say the FF series is known for it's amazing puzzles, and although the puzzles were often solved the same in the end, the path to that solution was always interesting and challenging enough to put your mind to good use, but again, if you put puzzles that are too challenging, it really changes the pace of the game for the worse, like exploration would.

FFIV had silly moments, though I don;t think Square was trying to make the overall game silly. The only real silly stuff from FFIV I recall was when characters would MAGICALLY survive, except tellah.

Though FF X-2 is the worst (sorry TC. I couldn't help but mention that POS.) FF game to ever grace the series. Just check this review ....

It may not have been entirely intentionally silly, but it didn't take the storytelling as seriously as later installments did.

As much as I like spoony and found that review entertaining.. hes basically playing the game wrong. You dont need to draw magic till you max out for hours like that. I mean magic is almost useless honestly other than cure spells etc. Your summons are so powerful and you can use them as many times as you want and have elemental attributes as well (why would you ever use a lightning spell when you can use your lightning summon? etc.. ) that if you just level them up and use the junction system right which takes some getting used to you can just burn through anything.

I'm not a big FF fan so I cannot make a good judgement. I played and finished 9 & 10 only. I also played 7 but didn't finish it. I consider 9 to be one of the best FF games though; having this game in the list for worst is really confusing for me :|

Cant say any of the ones listed is bad. Though I did hate 10's forced and anoying love story. Im not shocked though 13 is high in numbers . That game get wayyyy to much hate.

For me it was between FFX and FFXIII, for similar reasons. One thing that I will always remember about the two are inhumanely annoying characters, whose actions throughout the games lacked any sort of logica and whose incredibly stupidity was immersion breaking. In the end I chose FF13 becouse it is not much of an rpg compared to other games that have come out in the last couple of years.

Good, becouse the reviews are done for entertainment. Still he makes some good points especially when it comes to the stupid and nonsensical choices the characters make.

People only like arguing that about the worst Final Fantasy when it's slightly controversial.

Of the ones I played (IV to IX), VIII would be the worst.

I have X and XII but I haven't started on them yet and I only played about 3-4 hours of XIII.

Out of what I've personally played 3 is the worst but 14 is objectively the worst by far.

FFVIII is the worst I've played. The junction system was just terrible and broken; it pretty much forced you to use your GFs very early in the game, which made it boring and easy. All you have to do is select GF and watch the lenghty summon animation. GFs have their own HP, so they die before you do. They're way overpowered and there's no penalty for using them.

Let's not forget the terrible cast, piss-poor villians, nonsensical plot w/ a forced & unbelievable love story. I don't remember why they even fell in love with each other in the first place. Squall was cold to her throughout the whole game. IMO, Star Wars Episode II has a better love story than FFVIII.

Also, I laughed when I found out that
