They have two of the most talented developers out there working on Kinect games..while Sony bought a developer that made two AAA games for the PS3

And then look at how much effort their putting in for Halo 4 and a Halo Remake and look how little effort they're putting in to make an Alan Wake sequel...

If anything, 360 collects dust for months.

SW overrates exclusives even though a great game is a great game,it doesnt matter other people can enjoy the same game on a different plattform.I would rather play GTA,Red Dead Redemption,Skyrim,Assasins Creed,Portal,Battlefield,Rage,Sainst Row,Mass Effect,Bioschock,Soul Calibur,Resident Evil,Final Fantasy,Metal Gear Solid instead of a few exlusives games both HD twins produce in comparison to the amount of quality game third party companies create.

and what is wrong with the gears review? gs uses increments of .5 and since the averaged score is 91 the only two possibilities are for the scores to be underrated or overrated.

I'm not calling "hacks" yet. I'll wait for the later Q4 exclusives reviews to start flowing in before making my decision. If UC3 gets raving reviews everywhere, and pulls an 8.5 here, while Halo Anniversary gets 8.5 and 8.0 mostly everywhere, and pulls a 9.0 here, then I'm jumping on the "GS reviews are biased" bandwagon.

That they can cater to the core gamers and the casual gamers at the same time

First The Gunstringer comes out and scores an 8.5 ( playing it now and it's a fun experience )

Then Gears 3 releases and of course scores a 9.5 and is contender for GOTY

I don't see why they can't keep that same game plan for this gen and the next

What funny is Sony puts out mediocre exclusives and some how they are better than the so called "few blockbusters" that Msoft has. GOW is the new IP of this gen hands down. There is not a close second on any other platform. Forza is the best racing game on consoles hands down. Mass Effect is a huge IP that started on 36o. These are games that have helped define this gen. Not Infamous, not Resistance, and definitely not Killzone.

Also funny that you neglect Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet and ModNation, one being the awsome lovechild of Gears with Assassin's Creed and the others, well there just isn't anything else like them. probably because Microsoft is to comfortable riding the CoD waves

you know what amazes me, most 360 owners are actually quite content with the system and the number of exclusive titles that have been on it this year, i know i am, the only people who seem to have a problem with it are cows and people who just want to bash MS or the 360, if you don't like the way MS operates or if you don't like the 360 then just stick to your ps3's, i personally have had a very good year with my 360 i have not been left wanting and i have to say that although the ps3 is an awesome machine i still prefer the 360 as a games machine, i can't grumble, i am a happy bumpkin, i never understood why people just set out with the sole purpose of bashing a machine they don't like, cows actually speak more about how bad the 360 is than they speak about how awesome the ps3 is,quite sad reallydelta3074

You're right I love Sony M$ is evil Sony can do no wrong, and whatever they do is fine by me. They can take my food my job, and even my house, and it wouldn't matter as long as they let me keep my PS3 and continue to worship them. As a matter of fact I'm not even worthy of them. They lost my personal information but what does it matter? I'm not important! They said that I can't sue them if they lose my information again. I would never even think about doing that so why did they even have to say that!!! I couldn't live the rest of my life knowing that I hurt Sony!!! To be honest, I'm not really sure anymore what the difference is between "core" and "casual" anymore. The majority of any console userbase is "casual" and the definition or distinction between these groups is extremely blurry. And with the Wii coming out and bringing in an entirely new audience who didn't play games in the past, for whatever reason, the lines have changed once again.

I mean, what makes those games casual or core in your mind? Is anyone who plays those games automatically core? is anyone who plays Kinect automatically casual? It makes no sense for people to keep trying to label games, and gamers by extension, in this manner.

It seems to me that for ANY console to be successful, it has to appeal to core and casual gamers alike. That is how it has ALWAYS been. So MS really hasn't proved anything because there really wasn't anything to prove.

I personally am begining to think the more someone needs to define themselves, or prove that they or their console is "hardcore", the more casual they really are. Because it seems to me that a hardcore gamer wouldn't be so desperate to prove and classify themselves as a certain thing. It is casuals, in my opinion, who are always so desperate to define themselves by the things they buy because their primary concern is image and fitting in with the trend.
