Eventually the DX updates will push you to the platforms of Microsoft's choosing.
I don't think people quite understand that Microsoft's fingers are around everybody's testacles.
Including PC gamers, Sony, iOS, Android, Linux, you name it.
You're an xbox gamer, whether you know it yet or not.
ZombieKiller7
You are forgetting a very important thing...
Windows OSs aren't used by traditional gamers only,in fact, they could even be considered a minority...
Do you think PC users worldwide would accept things like yearly subscriptions for browsing the Internet?
There are other OS options that would see a huge rise in popularity if anything you predict actually happened...
PC is an open platform, and nobody's going to change that, plain and simple, not MS,not anybody...
Just to remind you,PC=Personal Computer. That means there are many options around for the consumer, you don't like something, you can find the alternative...
You'll accept anything they give you and like it.
Valve shoved DRM up your ass and you became a Steam cheerleader.
Couple years from now you'll be on the xbox site typing in a code to play multiplayer and your steam library will be like "Dear users from now on you can download your games from xbox.com"
MS will be getting %15 cut off every game you buy.
I agree that PC = Personal Computer, actually ALL of these consoles and devices are personal computers.
PC isn't a platform, it never was.
WINDOWS is a platform and it will evolve to become a part of the Xbox ecosystem, just like Windows phone and everything else.
i love this guy he is one of the few users that see's the truth
