I enjoy the campaigns a lot more than the actual multiplayer. Black Ops and to a lesser extent MW3 were very entertaining in that regard. I prefer the way how Blops told it's story over how MW3 did it.

why i think cod is popular is because its not soo realistic where shooting can be a hassle and camping is a must, and not 2 arcady where you jump 20 feet in the air. HAD (COD4 ONLY) a great hit detection. maps are manageable (bf3 flying a jet or a chopper to get from one location to another is just ridiculous) as they are not too wide scale as to have boring gameplay. you can camp OR rush. it caters to both casuals and experts...

cod 4 was the best cod game ever made...the other iterations pale in comparison

I like Call of Duty to just pick up and play casually, but I have to sell the games because if I don't I get SWAMPED with invites and I have to play when I don't want to. I don't ever want to play a video game when I don't want to.

I mean it would literally take forever to walk over to them, which you had to because people took the vehicles instantly. Add on top of this is medicore camapaign and you got a boring game.

I think it's got to do with the fact that nearly anyone can be good at one point. The best are consistantly good, but even the bad players have good rounds thanks to things like death streaks and the new support packages. It can be annoying but thinking about the newer players it seems fine
