Those screenshots are from footage, so I don't see why it matters if it's out or not. THe graphics aren't going to get worse. And I have yet to see any PS3 games that blow Gears of War 3 out of the water. It's very clear in terms of power, the Xbox360 and PS3 are pretty equal.

Come on guys, 360 was released a whole year before PS3 and yet MS expect us to believe that their devs are eventually going to surpass KZ2, why is it that Sony's 1st party were are able to constantly release games better looking than any multi-plats and yet MS release games like Crackdown 2, Fable III and Alan Wake which look extremely average but solid none the less. Surely if Killzone 2 was released in Feb 2009 then by now MS should have at least announced a game on par, especially considering that everyone's been working on the 360 for a year longer. Let's just admit PS3 is more powerful than 360.

For off-the-shelf part, Sony should have selected ATI Radeon X19x0(RV570) based part i.e. less fixes e.g. RV570 has support for 3DC+(like G80, proto-DX10 feature), decoupled pixel shader and texture units (like G80), ATI Ultra-Threads (like G80), reasonable Early-Z, competent shader branch units (like G80), MSAA hardware with HDR FP(proto-DX10 feature)and competent GpGPU e.g. Fold @ Home GPU1 client.

PS3 games look a lot better to me visually and technically with all the things they have going on (Killzone 2 and UC 2, im looking at you) 360 has pretty games that are close behind but there far in between.Kokuro_Kun

Gears of War 3 looks just as good as those games though. And to that one guy, Alan Wake is not Gears of War 3, so stop using that AW thing because it holds no ground.

Wow this is such a stupid post.It just proves you guys have no idea what you talk about.PS3 is ARGUABLY closer to PC than 360.In 360 you have UNIFIED memory architecture,never seen in PC.In ps3 you have Vram and memory RAM,same like in PC.IN PS3 you have STRAIGHT OUT PC gpu,nothing modified,old architecture PC gpu.In 360 you have gpu with unified shaders,eDRAM,memexport,tessellation hardware unit,veretx fetch unit,and so many other little modified things to make work easier and more efficient on console.Both Cpus are with lots of threads but to get more performance on PS3 you have to work in parallel and help ALOT to RSX,thats why it is harder to develop for.Not to mention FAAR worse tools that Sony gives...

With regard to the Gears - Uncharted comparisions: you people do realize the game isn't out yet? I understand that you enjoy arguing over which is superior, but I find such debates irrelevant when I know that most, no, probably all of you have not seen or played the game with your own eyes. :PTranquilityX
