If GT5 scores less than 9.5 on GS, will SW consider it a failure?

Since the release of GT4 there's been two Forza's released on the XBOX 360, both of which scored considerabley well. Forza 3 really set the bar for racing simulators and with the production GT5 been so long and hyped if it scores anything less than 9.5 (Which Forza 3 scored) do you see SW exploding and calling it a failure?

I wouldn't say explode but there would be ownage for a few days

Some people consider games that score 8 to be failures. At the end of the day a GS review is just one opinion, so it doesn't carry a great deal of weight. I prefer to look at the overall Player Review score.

Yes. I know this sounds ridiculous I know 9 is still an awesome score but jesus. You can pump out a 9 racing game in about 2 years. 6 year dev. cycle this better be a 10

I think GT5 should score 10 , i believe it will.

There will be GT5 is a failure threads regardless of score. Reasons will vary from you can't alter your drivers height to the lack of spaceship racing.

As long as it maintains AAA status, I don't think it will be considered a flop.scar-hawk

It will get a 10 as long as there isnt alot of glitches/bugs that effect the gameplay.

It will probably score a 10, realistically. We already know that the driving mechanics are top notch and that the game has loads of content, likely with future downloadbles. IF it scores a 9.5, MS fanboys will have there day, but I have a feeling that if it does indeed draw the same score as Forza, Gamespots review will offer a direct comparison--stating which game is the definitive racer. Though really, we all know GT is king.

Unless the game just flat out freezes and is a buggy mess I don't see how it could possibly score less then Forza... but hay, they could get someone who don't like driving to review it *shrug*

Fans will be happy with 9+ as long as it's the game is asexpected.

it's hyped to destroy forza 3, so even a 9.5 is a flop. not to mention that gt5 has more than tripled forza 3's development time and budget.

If the reviewer can't say "he came" when he started to play it and score it an 11, I will consider it a flop after this much hype.

Have to pretty much agree with this. I'm really looking forward to the game, but anything less than a 9.5 is going to be a disappointment.

After Forza 3 getting a 9.5 anything less for GT5 would cause havoc.

its going to score a 10 easily.... if Forza 3 can score a 9.5 then GT should be able to score a 10 easily.
