Yeah it's entirely possible, but I'd imagine (not saying that I am a software developer or anything) that they can implement it. I mean they had to use the same camera and are going to have to release an update for it to support the wand aren't they. I doubt that the software to make Move work is already installed on PS3s or in the original PSEye cameras. If they have to add functionality to that, they can surely add some of the functionalities that you have mentioned.
If Kinect is a hit, oh well, things sell. I don't think anyone expected move to sell better anyways.

most likely not, just look at cross talk as a reference, they still cant get it to work, MS got it work in 2007.
If I remember right, cross game chat is copyrighted, and Sony would get sued by Microsoft if they implemented it into the PS3, same with the custom soundtracks.
I don't think you understood what I said in my previous post, allow me to post a clarification.
The PSEyes and PS3's that exist now, probably are not Move Ready. Eventually (if they haven't already), Sony will have to release an update to allow the system to work with Move and the wands. If they have to add the software to make move work, why can't they add things like gestures to turn on/off the console. Nobody has played with Move besides what we have seen in game conferences and Sony tech demos. Most smart companies don't release every single detail (especially ones so minute as the one you mentioned in your original post) because it would just waste time and make people bored.
It doesnt make people bored, that remains to be seen, please dont speak for others because people might actually love it. Also I doubt Sony will be able to replicate what MS is doing because if they could they would, the tech and understand the software writing minds will be all at MS, and Sony will have to patch it as it goes and it would be totally gimped out and Kinect will progress. Its the same with Live, and they will continue to build on it. Kinect uses all kinds of ways to understand how to interact with its user, we both dont know the engineering part of it at that level to really say if Sony can or cant. The fact is Kinect does things that the Eye cant, it can move when you move and follows you, maybe you need that for gesturing, we dont know, it puts you in a 3d environment, I believe Sony cant do that or there is mass confusion about that as well when it comes to the eye, but from what I heard its 2d, maybe they use that tech to understand jestures. There are many things that the Kinect is doing that we dont know really if the Eye can do, Kinect is much more evolved as well as the eye has been on the market for a long time. Even so, if its all about software implementation to make these things work, dont you think that MS has the advantage with that?
