Bad way of doing it because he was most of my posts too and I called him on it. Geez he could of at least used @Zero and @verbtex.[QUOTE="Zero_epyon"][QUOTE="ProjectNatalFan"]
well when the real numbers come out you can always hide behind WW as well I guess  Good luck you still think that the PS3 is holding a lead over the 360 lol when it hasnt been in front all gen. shall we edit again
So you agree with the numbers I displayed a few posts ago?let me ask you something simple, has the 360 outsold the PS3 since the 360 announced the Slim? Also who is in the lead right now, PS3 or 360? Please answer those questions.
Ps3 was released a year later. That is NOT an excuse. Lets get xbox from stores' shelves for a year and lets see whos gonna be in lead after that. If that matters anyway.Sony's EYE came out before Kinect did... way before kinect did so I can see if the EYEs technology isn't up to par with kinect. IDK. It's similar but I wouldn't say it can do exactly what kinect does. Maybe they'll release an update, who knows but I don't really care though.
I've heard alot of people who talk about Kinect and they say that the Eye can do everything that Kinect can do. The ability to turn on and turn off your console with a gesture and through voice would always be an nice addition. Why isnt Sony even commenting or attempting to do what Kinect does, it would also limit Kinects appeal because from everyone I have talked to that knows about Kinect they all are intrigued by using it to watch movies and to be the controller. Is it that Sony doesnt have the software that could do it, or is it that the SONY EYE simply cant do it because of hardware shortcomings. Please be civil and stay on subject and please refrain from flaming. Thanks.

All Sony has the do if they wanted to let the EYE toy do all those things is write the software for it and voila. Kinect does nothing the ps eye can't do. And for your information you can control the whole songstar store with your voice. So yes the EYE can do everything Kinect does. Hell take a look at EYE-Pet is does almost everything in one game what MS is touting the Kinect for being "revolutionary".
MS is just having a misleading ad campaign and you all are falling for it like it's something new
And for the record anything Kinect does has been done on the PC ever since webcams entered the marked... so much for revolutionary.
ProjectNatalFan ( haha that name still cracks me up ) , you are the biggest loser on this forum, you know all of these stupid facts which nobody cares about and I all I can say is I feel sorry for you because your mind is so messed up it can't think with reason, it's like you've been brainwashed.
1. Halo Reach won't boost 360 sales, don't you think every Halo fan brought a 360 for Halo 3 already?.
2. No normal person wants to turns their 360 off by waving their hands.
3. Kinect sucks and so do you.
4. PS3 has been outselling 360 all this time, NPD is for America only.
Clank-PS-Snake out.
PSEye can do everything Kinect can only not as well.
But here's the difference, MS and Nintendo support their gaming peripherals. Sony barely makes use of it. I said way back if Nintendo made a PSEye they would have really supported it.
Even with Move, all i've really seen is Sony threaten to tack it on to their normal games.
It's the same with Wiimote, it can do everything Move can in the same way PSEye can do everything Kinect can.

[QUOTE="ProjectNatalFan"]
well ill give you a clue, Kinect will outsell move regardless, and head start sounds like a big excuse. SONY Had a record market share going into this gen, kudos to MS, excuses for Sony.
ProjectNatalFan
great so now you are living in the past how about living in the now, not the future (because you cant predict the future).
so what does SONY'smarket share last gen have to do with it selling better than the 360 this gen?
And no its not an excuse, it would be an excuse if I tried to neglect the 360's first year if we where talking about what platform has more games. its more of hmm.. how do you say it... A FACT. ;)
sadly you just made my point. You wanna live in the now, well the xbox 360 is doing much better than the PS3 and is selling more games, making more money than Sony is in regards to profit, a better attach rate, and those are the facts. You wanna bring up one year head starts, well thats the past, go by the numbers now and from in on it will continue. I dont get why Sony fans cant give MS any credit, but the facts and the numbers will facilitate my argument
According to Sony and Microsoft's most recent quarterly reports, PS3 moved not only more hardware, but more total software worldwide than 360 over the same time-frame.It can do what Kinect does and much more

...On one of the tech demos, he said he used his head for 3D tracking of his movementsPS Eye coupled with a move controller will get you more functionality in games than Natal. If you want to shout at you 360 like you do a voice prompted phone menu then you get Kinect. Otherwise you'll be playing games on rails swinging your arms around until Kinect understands your gesture.[QUOTE="hellhund"]
Is it confirmed that the Move's eye is the same thing as the PS3 Eye? I'm curious because they went clearance at a regional chain and I'm tempted to pick it up for cheap now.

The hate is strong with this one...
The Kinect will do just fine, at least let's wait until the launch reviews come before bashing it into the ground

Hey I don't hate Kinect. I know some people will like it. But don't make it seem like it's going to put people out of business and make people who didn't buy it seem like they're fanboys.I can agree with this. I'm not getting either though. Motion gaming isn't for me at this point.everyone who agrees that sony eye is as good as kinect would also have to agree that wiimote+ is as good as move.
because the differences in both comparisons are small, they both have their pros and cons.
Half-Way
i bought the eye of judgment back in 2007 w/ PSEYE
i've played:
The Eye of Judgment (obviously)
The Trials of Topoq
Operation Creature Feature
Aquatopia
...
i think that's it, can't remember
either way, it was interesting but the camera was kinda laggy when tracking moving limbs, like when you played Operation Creature feature you had to move slowly with your hand to drag creatures thru puzzles... Trials of Topoq is similarly slowly paced, at least it requires some coordination but it's way too slow to be enjoyable, and anytime you started moving around so you weren't just using the same muscles constantly (which holding your arm out gets old no matter how fit you are)... it just wasn't very enjoyable
i think i recall Sony talking about making a PSEYE-controlled XMB back in 2007 but they kind of abandoned the camera after EYE bombed
i think it ended up failing because you had to have really bright levels of light, i remember it taking me awhile to even play the eye of judgment because i had to turn on every light in the room, sometimes bringing extra lamps and even then it'd fool itself and stop seeing the cards, and to be honest the games just weren't very good

MS Kinect has a depth camera i.e. near-IR projector and sensor combo. PC webcam doesn't have this tech.
Most multimedia laptops comes 1.3-to-2.0 MP webcam i.e. higher resolution than Sony PS3's and MS Kinect's webcam resolution.

MS Kinect like features doesn't integrate with the existing Windows 7 i.e. we have wait for Windows 8 for that.Reading through this thread has been quite a comedy, and has just proved to me how bad Kinect is in the area it really matters: in the games! Projectnatalfan mentioned using Forza with Kinect, but that would be completely rubbish, since it accelerates and brakes automatically, and wouldn't one look a bit of a muppet holding their hands in the air as if they were holding a steering wheel? And surely rumble feedback you get from steering wheels would be missed?
And as Kevin Butler said: "(Playstation move) also has something we in the future call: buttons, which turn out to be pretty important to those handful of millions of people who enjoy playing shooters, or platformers, anything that dosen't involve catching a big red ball" :D
