Nintendo by a mile, the last Sony exclusive i remember really enjoyed is Last of Us and is not even THAT good.

I doubt it will outsell every Wii-U exclusive combined but it will outsell a few of them and has a good chance to outsell all of them individually.

It won't destroy all of them them in scores though, especially not Bayonetta, as it stands her on GS the WII-U has the highest scoring Exclusive title on any Console and the best SONY and MS can do is equal it.

You would be right, if sales of Nintendo games had not been consistently high across the last three decades, no matter the platform- what would the excuse be for Nintendo's handhelds? Those have a shit ton of third party support, don't they?

You're overlooking the crux of my reasoning, which isn't that Nintendo games don't tell stories or have engaging narratives. Nintendo games don't have anything to "say" to their audience that hasn't already been said by previous, superior entries. Keep in mind I say this being a primarily console-based/PC gamer, and it doesn't help that most new IP coming from Nintendo lands on their handheld platforms. Even then, however, handheld games innately lack a certain degree of presentation that I place high value in.

I also contest both of your assertions that Nintendo games cover plenty of range and excel at elements exclusive to gaming. They're just as hit-and-miss as any other publisher/developer out there.

To me Sony has the least appealing exclusives by a country mile that's why I have an Xbone and I'm going to buy a Wii U later this year. The myth about Sony still being a 1st party powerhouse needs to die.

I'd have to agree wholeheartedly. Even though I respect ND they aren't even close to fitting in EAD's shoes, but they'd be the closest ones.

People also talk about new IP's, but Nintendo isn't dumb. They know if they slap Mario on the cover it'll sell. That's their staple. Would you as a company who already has a hard time selling consoles take on the risk of using your new gameplay mechanics in a game that potentially won't sell? That's horrible business strategy.

Same IP =/= Same gameplay, and that's a fact a ridiculous amount of people on this forum seem to forget when it comes to Nintendo.

While I think gaming can relay an engaging message, since when is that the primary reason for gaming to exist. PS4 is primarily a TOY. Xbox One is primarily a TOY. Wii U is primarily a TOY. Though they have since evolved some the fact that consoles exist for fun more than anything else hasn't changed, and Nintendo is king of fun.

I'm not sure how SW treats No-Mans Sky as far as an exclusive, but seeing as how I only have consoles it's a PS4 exclusive to me and looks more exciting and fresh than anything Nintendo has created in the past 2 gens so my vote goes with Sony. That's just one Sony exclusive, I could name a few others but damn NMS really has me hyped. SFV is another huuuuuuge one as I still play SF4 weekly and in tournaments to this day so that alone makes a PS4 a must have for me as a fighting game enthusiast, Nintendo just completely drops the ball by a mile with that genre, a given side-effect of having crap 3rd party support.

I like Zelda/Pokemon/Mario as much as the next guy but at this point, while I still generally enjoy playing them, I get zero hype/excitement for them when announced and no matter how many little new things/improvements are added to them I can't help feeling like I'm just going through the motions the majority of the time when playing those games. Same goes especially for MK/SSB.

one exclusive sold the wiiu to me (xenoblade X). i saw it and i knew i was getting a wiiu. many of the other games they make are also class (though i have been dissapointed with mario 3d world. its no galaxy).

i just had a look at upcoming games for the PS4 in 2015 and the most interesting one i could find, that is exclusive to the PS4, is rime. bloodborne also looks good but its a game i would buy if i had a PS4 rather than one i would buy a PS4 for. i would love to see a new gravity rush (it would be nice if they made it for the vita but i think its safe to say that, if its happening, itll be on the PS4.). that would tempt me. other than that there isnt much sony make or publish themselves thats really enticing me to get a PS4.

who knows. maybe E3 will change that.

Sony's franchises are pretty much all very well outperformed by many various games on the market. While I very much enjoy some of their stuff like inFAMOUS, Ratchet and Clank, and The Last of Us, nothing of theirs reaches true greatness in my book. Most of their stuff is mediocre to terrible. Puppeteer, Uncharted 2, and PASBR being some of the worst games I've played from the past gen.

Sure in a vacuum, their selection of games could seem pretty great, but looking at them relative to the content out there, they are very unimpressive.

Nintendo's first party on the other hand generally outperforms most of the competition very consistently.
