[QUOTE="Philmon"][QUOTE="jg4xchamp"]Anyway if you get a gaming PC do you really need a Wii or PS3? no not really. The library for the PC dwarfs the PS3 and Wii as well. And if we play "but the exclusives" game
Fine
Halo 3
Forza 2
Banjo Nuts and BOlts
Perfect Dark Zero
PGR 3, PGR 4
Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise
Lost Odyssey
Star Ocean 4
Tales of Vesperia
Infinite Undiscoverey
Ninja Gaiden 2
Dead Rising
Too Human
Gears of War 2(for now atleast)
Fable 2
Saints Row
and a bunch of others are only exclusive to the 360
Plus there are the multiplats that PC didn't get
like
Virtua Fighter 5
Soul Caliber 4
Burnout Paradise(not sure why on this one)
The Darkness(how the hell did this not go on PC?)
If anything the 360 has offered a PC gamer far more than the PS3 and Wii so far. Grive
There is no point in comparing 360 AAAE and AAE game library to the PC simply because it is way ahead. I mean the PC has only 5 less AAAE that the total number of 360 AAA, and only 11 less AAE than the total number of 360 AA, so even if you add the games that are not on the PC to the 360s exclusives list the PC would still be ahead. Not to mention that it works both ways and the PC would end up with additional AAAE and AAE.
Congratulations, you sidestepped the argument by stating the blindingly obvious, which he had acknowledged.
He stated two things:
1.- Under the OP's argument, both the PS3 and the Wii go out the wayside. Why pick on the 360?
2.- What if you want to play the 360's exclusives (along with multiplats the PC doesn't get)? That's the case of a lot of people. I want me Halo 3. I want me Dead Rising. I can go on. The PC and 360 do not fully overlap. You can justify the purchase of a 360 just by it's exclusives, even if you have a PC.
1. Wi/PS3 have more titles in development that are likely to be exclusives than the 360. Dont just look at the here and now, but the trend in general. When MS talks about 360 exclusive, that means if they can they will try and release the game on the PC sometime down the line. However I dont see the same thing happening to PS3/Wii exclusives which would make those two the obvious choice if we are going just by number of AAAe and AAe.
2. Yes, if you want specific games an argument can be made for each platform, but if you wanted to get the most coverage and wanted to spend money on only one platform to supplement your PC (and say spend your money on games instead of a third or forth platform), then the 360 would not be my first choice.
360 is basically a poor mans PC
PC has better online. PC has free online. PC has much better graphics (you know, the main selling point of your console), PC has better controls, PC has a HUGE back catalogue of games, PC has better WRPGs, PC has beter shooters, PC has better strategy games
There a few good exclusives on the 360 that you'll never see on the PC such as Forza 2 and Ninja Gaiden but I never really missed them
I was not basing my opinion purley on critic scores. You also need to look at user scores to see what the community think of the game. People say Crysis recived a rediculiously high score others think GTA 4. In the end it dose come down to your opinion on what system has the best games. I may not like a few genres which may contain half of the PC's AAA titles. People fight over these things because they mainly base there stats on different aspects._rock_
If all you want to say is "I like my system, not yours", why even bother posting? It's not really up for discussion is it?
[QUOTE="SilentNight_"]No, i hate Keyboard controls, i like controller better, XBL, and just playing games on a 360.

Yea you say that in every thread, we get it.

No? That is your best comeback or rebuttal?Vicmackey's summary is probably the most accurate comparison of the two.
While I wouldn't call a 360 a poor mans PC directly, it does come of that way with its constant sharing of titles with the PC, and push for online and shooters, which of course are done much better on the pc.
That is just how it is *looks at 360 and PC*

Okay, you say 360 is a poor mans PC.
All pc gamers are basment dwellers.
Honestly now how immature can you get.
Everyone is a stereotype

I drew a logical conclusion based on the facts to hand. You generalised a system's entire audience based on your own prejudices
It'd be like me saying that all 360 owners were Racist American children who aren't smart enough to use a PC
[QUOTE="dgsag"]Just because you say there better on PC dosen't make it so. They may have better visuals but for me online play is much better on the xbox and I prefer using a controller. It just comes down to what your comfortable with.Oh, multiplats? Bolded are on PC. ;)
_rock_
How is online play better on a 360? That is crazy! Has onone here played Team Fortress 2 on the 360? TF2 is one of the best mp games ever (on the pc). That is just one example. C+C3's controls on the 360 are horrable as well. FPS controls are much much better with a mouse. Its so hard to score a headshot with a controler. I dont have to deal with a bunch of high-pitched foulmouthed little kids on the pc either.
Can I play Banjo-Kazooie on a pc?LanDC77
Well no, but I do feel sad that I have to play some games on my 360 instead of my PC (which has a 9800GX2 for incredible graphics) because of 360 exclusivity :(

In many ways it is
Ask yourself, what is the main selling point of the 360? It's the graphics, and in that regard PC's chew up consoles and spit them out
There's also the issue of cost which ties directly to to the buying capacity and maturity of the relative audiences and the genre that the 360 is best known for is shooters, which the PC does a much better job of handling
No.
360 has better controls.
SilentNight_
No it doesn't.
I can use a 360 controller with my PC games, meaning that even if you prefer the 360 controller, the PC still does not have worse controls.
And if you prefer the KB/M (like most people do for most genres) then the PC is superior control wise.
No matter how you feel about the whole Controller vs. KB/M situation, the PC can not have inferior controls, but it may be seen as superior.

What metric are you using?
In terms of controls the PC allows you pretty much everything, tthe 360 limits you to a gampepad
In terms of online the PC is free, has more functionality, has decidcated servers and competition
In terms of games the PC has more high rated games this gen and much more high rated games overall

on that note, its the only plausible answer
Lets see:
Its always a console game number one in the greatest games of all time.
PC has no AAAA's ( )

GTA4 will come to PC later on just like all other GTAs have. Thats very easy to predict.

List time I checked, Arcades weren't consoles.
Sorry, but you are wrong. If all you have is a PC and do not want a PS3, then a 360 is a good purchase. But if say you are like me and have a PC and a PS3, then yea, the 360 is pointless in getting. But having a PC alone does not make the 360 pointless in owning. The 360 has a lot of games that aren't on the PC. The problem is when you have a PS3 also or are looking at both the PS3 and 360. Because sure the 360 has plenty of games that aren't on PC. The problem is most of those games are on the PS3. The three main....hell the only reasons I don't have a 360 is RRoD, most of it's games are on other systems, and no free online. If they fix those three problems, then I will buy a 360. But I just don't see them fixing them.I'm willing to bet that Fable 2 will be on the PC as well.
Some people just like playing on consoles, but if you have a gaming rig, that probably means you're fine with playing on your comp. The 360 is just an unupgradable PC in the end, since it's running windows practically anyway.

What if I want to play Dead Rising, one of the best games so far this generation? No? What about Ace Combat 6, Virtua Fighter 5, Ninja Gaiden 2, Halo 3 (you still don't have it) Crackdown, and Forza 2? No? What about the upcoming Gears of War 2? What if I don't want to wait a year for a port of that game?
You fail TC, and you fail hard.
Can i play Gears 2 this year on my pc ?blitzkid1That's not a good game to use. To you I say, yes, yes I can. I just have to wait until it releases. I would rather do that than spend the money buying a 360 just to play that one game. Lets leave out that I don't even have a interest in owning it when it does come to PC, just like I don't own the first.
yes caus i want to wait months or even years to play a game on the pc.
i mean look at halo 2, it released on the xbox and then the PC, which version do you think more people bought?

Pc get most of the games released for xbox360... not so long time after the console version. There are some exceptions but hey irather wait 6 months to play the games as meant to be played.... at 60fps (in before ME)! lololo
