It boils down to what you want, titles and experience wise.

However you can easily stick the two systems down and determine which is better of the two....

What I meant is that if you put down money for a new workstation computer, why not spend the little extra and raise the performance level fo the components to that of a reasonable gaming computer.

You can simply have a computer with those specs to be a totally satisfied gamer, or hell you could have a Wii, PS3, 360 and be a totally satisfied gamer. What satisfies you is ultimately your own opinion, but of course I understand the point you are making.

I spent around $800 AUD, Ps3 was $750AUD here at the time - that was my whole system, minus the case, 160gb hdd and dvd rom drive (which I salvaged from my 3 year old computer - at the time).

I really dont recommend buying pre built, heck if you want value for money, start a thread in the pc hardware forum, get a hardware list, go down to the local comp store and have the folks there assemble it for you. All on the cheap.

ok here in canada the ps3 cost 399$ for the 40gig and a 360 cost 350$ for the premium and i am not talking about upgrading my old rig i cant i have to build a new one from scratch and i cant do it under 1000$cdn this is what i mean .legol1
