Have to agree with Toastie on this one, QED, a game that is praised to heavens and back should not have to rely on you doing homework to get enjoyment other games manage regardless out of it.

The Witcher games are based on books too, you dont need to enrol in the Polish folklore seminars to enjoy them.

The Halo is interesting, I never realised till I watched Halo Legends (only scratched the surface aswell). Aand recently just finished watching 'Forward unto Dawn pretty descent.

Yes, most of it was pretty lame, however the segment on the creation of the Halo rings and the Forerunners was pretty good. There is almost no narative on that in the games.

I know the focus was meant to be War, but it all lacked a certain amount of context and in turn lacked pay off for me. I havent played Halo 4 and I really would like to see what 343 has done with the Lore. And how the Spartans came to be. I like a good narative, me :D

I dont know, I dont think they dive into her character deep enough to be able to tell. She doesnt come across as so 2 dimensional that all she is is a 'good girl'

Think I'll wait for the movie, there are oo many books in backlog. Having to read one about a franchise that already has 7 games released seems like a bit of a waste of time
