IGN Review Haze 4.5

Agreed. You cannot blame the PS3 because Free Radical dropped a delayed turd after months and months of trying to squeeze it out, lol. The folks in this thread acting as if the PS3 is the only system that gets bargin bin reject games are not fooling anyone. Every system gets it's fair share of crap, this is just yet another one to add to the garbage heap.

And no, I am not making excuses for the PS3. I'm just using common sense to cut through the fanboy jargon and state a fact. The Wii gets games like Cooking Mama that suck, the 360 gets games like Bomberman, Hour of Victory, and Tenchu-Z that suck. And the PS3 gets games like Lair and Haze that suck as well. No fault of the PS3 because the devs could not step up to the plate and deliver on a current gen console that other devs have no problem making great games on.

Factor 5 produced amazing titles on a NINTENDO CONSOLE befor the ps3 and now its producing garbage like lair :lol:

Konami's mgs4 hasnt been reviewd yet

Insomniac produced the mega flop Rehash & clank

so again I say te ps3 is the place to go were good devs last gen go to porduce lackluster flops :lol:

And haze flopping is a "big deal" seeing as cow's hyped it last year with crysis like graphics's and even compared it to halo 3 :lol: It flopped like every other major exclusive on the platform so I dont see how you think im wrong actually.

Ok, maybe on GS Ratchet and Clank was a "flop" but with most sites it wasnt. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was a hit out side of this site too, not to say an 8.0 is bad by any means. Incase you havent noticed, GS's reviews are increasingly becoming a joke. They even gave Mass Effect an 8.5, so that's a flop too huh? :roll:

Well, at least I've played the game then judged it, I didn't wait for reviews or anything, I saw a potential great game and I bought it just like every other game I buy.

It's quite clear that you prefer mediocrity over greatness. You've wanted HAZE to be amazing from the start, so I can imagine how this is going for you. Believe me, I've had games flop on me before -- i'ts not the end of the world, just a poor game. Also, you telling people that they can't trash it if they haven't played the entire game, well.... neither have you and you're claiming that it's going to "PWN". That's a tad bit misleading, wouldn't you say so? Overall, the critics have spoken and it says the game is poor-mediocre, which is what most people will judge it as.

I am going to actually take your side on this one. We have all had the displeasure of being hyped for games that we thought were going to be great, only to see reviewers annihilate them. But, that does not mean that we still did not personally enjoy them for ourselves.

While I personally have zero interest in Haze after playing the demo, I will freely admit that I get hyped for games that ultimately score low all the time, and still enjoy them, regardless. Games like Viking: Battle for Asgard for instance. It got hammered in a lot of reviews, but I still enjoyed it myself.

Just ignore the fanboys, man. You have a right to dig whatever games you want. The ones in the wrong here are the ones trying to tell you that you have bad taste in games just because you do not share their viewpoints. And as much as I have ragged on Haze myself, I sure as hell am not going to act like I am superior to anyone who happens to like the game. Opinions vary, people. Deal with it.

Flawed Argument Ghost... Its hard to believe that you may actually think half of your post is right. Put aside the animal names and lol smileys for a while and read what I have to say.

First and foremost the amount of bashing in this Topic against both Haze and The Ps3 contradicts the golden rule of sw, only gamespot scores count To claim ownage, If IGN Scores counts for tiles like Haze why dont they for games like the megaflop rehash and clank which scored 9.4 there? Every time somebody pointed out IGN's score when that game was released the replies they received were "hahaha cows are running to IGN, 7.5 FLOP", Even though R&C was broadly acclaimed as best in series across the internet.

Uncharted form Naughty Dog scored 9.0s and above in the majority of sites too, If you check the players score here on Gs you'll find a 9.0, right next to it you'll find the critics score which happens to be guess what... another 9.0. You think gamespot has the last word? seriously? You are using gamespot scores as absolute Truths to judge games like ratchet and Clank and Uncharted, and that is unacceptable form an objective standpoint.

When IGN gives the Ps3 A 9.0 or higher, it doesnt count here, but it does when they give a 4.5? Regarding the Hype for Haze, I might be wrong, But I think It died for the most part after the Delay. As for the Crysis-Haze graphics comparison *Facepalm*

I thought it was pretty interesting how IGN said Haze basically had a great multiplayer, but it wasn't enough to offset it's horribly lackluster single player campaign. Perhaps it is just me, but this sounds EXACTLY like Halo2.
