Wow. Wtf happened Free Radical? I can't believe this game scored below average. This just makes me want to play it even more now, just to see how bad it really is. Can't wait.SmokieXMaybe people will catch on that the PS3 is TOO HARD to develop for in a reasonable amount of time. Here we have an experiened dev team, who've made good FPS in the past delivering a dogs dinner. Its does not matter how powerful PS3 is supposed to be (not that I think it is....lol, but some people *still* buy the marketing BS), it seems that unless a company has Sony experts working with them and dumping loads of cash into a project, it ends up being rubbish. This is so different from PS2 where there were many many good 3rd party titles. This is where the PS3 fails the most IMO.
I remeber how excited Renegade was when Haze was anounced PS3 exclusive. Where is he now?
2008 year of the PS3? I don't think so!
They DID?[QUOTE="xxThyLordxx"]IGN gave God Hand a 3.0skrat_01
Wow...

I dont care, its their opinion, I'm still getting the game, if I had listened to them, I would have never played God Hand. God Hand is an amazing game imo. but they gave it 3.0, its all opinion and preference.xxThyLordxx
Greg gave God Hand an 8.0 here, so what if Haze scores low here, will you still get it??
The guy who reviewed God Hand on ign didn't get the game at all.[QUOTE="xxThyLordxx"]I dont care, its their opinion, I'm still getting the game, if I had listened to them, I would have never played God Hand. even if GS gives the game a 2.5, I will still get it, I enjoyed the demo. general consensus might think otherwise, but thats just them.
i played the demo and i really liked it..does this mean.. i have low standard's:?devious742
according to ignorant people who follow reviews like a religion, you do. the fact is that most people bashing, have not played it, they are entrusting their decision on someone else's opinion.
IGN gave God Hand a 3.0xxThyLordxxFunny that you mention it. I just started another game today on my PS3 since my PS2 was broken:) God Hand is an amazing game. It's hard at times but it's one of the best beat em ups I've ever played. IGN can go **** themselves:evil:

I'm shocked, I havn't got a PS3 yet, but even I wasn't expecting anything less than a 7.5 to 8.5.
But then Free Radical did make those awful Timesplitter games (in single player mode at least).
I said that the PS fanboys should put this in the "wait and see" category instead of hyping it and looking silly, so im going to say I told you so. I could be wrong and Gamespot may love it.
I have seen this for myself on the IGN website, but I can still barely believe it got such a low score, is this for real? I really am surprised.
Oh Free Radical. Where did you go wrong?
Woner what this gets on GS. I cant see it getting more than a 7 now.

If you really want to play Haze i do recommend you rent it first, at least if you don't like it you still have your money.

I am when a game cost £40, I don't trust demos because they don't represent the final product well most of the time. Because if thats the case DMC4 and VF5 suck (based on the awful demos). Renting isn't an option for everyone.
Sure we can wait for more reviews, maybe that score's a mistake because I can't believe it really got 4.5. That is unbelievably low.
Free Radical: "Halo 3 is childs play"
Critically acclaimed developer Free Radical, creator of TimeSplitters and now the murky future-shooter Haze, believes that next-gen games should push us into new, mature territory, and that devs should be looking "beyond the technology" and instead focus on changing what it means and feels like to play videogames.
Using Bungie's blastacular Halo 3 as an example, Haze scriptwriter Rob Yescombe believes that "while Halo is brilliant, you're a teenager - the next-gen is about becoming more mature," explaining that "in Haze you become an adult."
Speaking to Edge magazine, Yescombe stresses that it should become the responsibility of developers to move towards more mature subject matter, using world events as inspiration. "It's about what's happening in the world today - it's ludicrous, and how can you make something that doesn't reflect that? Well, you could bury your head in the sand and make Halo 3, but the fact of the matter is there are more important things at stake."
Obviously, as scriptwriter, Rob Yescombe has reason to crave a move toward more interesting plot devices and topics in videogames. That said, the pure high-value entertainment of Halo 3 will mean it has as much a place in our hearts as the disturbingly thoughtful and challenging Manhunt - for the same reasons that we can still love every minute of Die Hard, yet find more serious films like Jacob's Ladder just as compelling.
You might be thinking "Where the hell does Haze fit into all this?" Well, thanks to Yescombe and Free Radical's ever-so-slightly-political bent, Haze's narrative has been crafted as a satire of modern-day warfare, while also working as a guns-blazing blastfest. So don't worry about it being the gaming equivalent of a pacifist's soapbox rant. "Maybe they'll get the satire and maybe they won't," Yescombe points out, adding "our job is to entertain."Gamesrader

Halo 3: 9.5
Haze: 4.5
Why the heck did Sony invest in "The Cell" with its 9 cores or whatever if all it does is pump out mediocre visuals? I don't get it.teh_goonster
You will find the cell is not the only component responsible for the visuals, its the GPU that does most of the work for graphically intense games. However I never believed the Sony hype from the start for the cell or the PS3, games like MGS4 look impressive but not to the level Sony were claiming.
I am still going to get haze, i dont care about reviews anymore since M$ basically dictates what game is good or bad by paying off the review sites. I am getting sick off itPS_John
dude, good for you, buy it if you like it, and dont rely on people's opinion.

This is just a fantastic post.
Tons of visual issues abound within the game, from texture tears and non-descript environments to pop-in and odd animation problems. 4.5
I love this part. I find it funny how they notice this about Haze but totally overlook these same exact problems in GTA IV. I am sorry but the visuals in GTA IV are horrible compared to this game but they some how overlook that fact.

My evidence is the fact that haze is more fun than halo 2.5, how can a game that is more fun get 4.5.. Compared to a 9.5 game with a lag fest online and 5 hour campaign

There's more going on in GTA though so it excuses that doesn't it.
if you buy this game you are officially brainwashed by sony!!!!!!!!!!! Its sad and depressing cuz theres alot of good games your missing out on. You are no longer a gamer but a robot.qbell
Like Halo 3 and GTA IV? GTA IV is problaby the most overrated game I have ever played in my life. I don't trust reviewers so whatever the lemmings here say.
