lol, so much hate in this thread. Its like all the haters from around the world are having a haters convention in this specific thread. It started with "The Conduit will be lucky to get 6.0 on any review site" now that its gotten 8.6 from IGN people are just making things to bash the game on. Come on guys, the game got good reviews, just chill. I find it funny that IGn actually had a quote regarding the type of people in this thread
"I've no doubt that overzealous system-hating fanboys will assert that there is nothing particularly special about The Conduit..."
Its like they foresaw this thread
An 8.6 without the upgraded Quantum III engine that is already housing better graphics, local and online multiplayer, and more NPC's without a framerate hit in the early stages of The Grinder.. can't wait to see how well the engine is running by the time they get rolling on the sequel, it'll be awesome:D
And yes, that is extremely premature considering the first isnt even in retail yet:P

Now, Wii owners. Buy this game if you want more hardcore fps-games in the future, or hardcore games in general. Show the developers that you exist.

Pre-ordered and Pre-paid already, so thanks to me High Voltage can at least afford to buy Eric Nofsinger another bottle of styling gel.
Yeah, over a million of us bought Red Steel. That barely left a scratch. Now, Wii owners. Buy this game if you want more hardcore fps-games in the future, or hardcore games in general. Show the developers that you exist.

Nice answer. I mark it off as you don't know."I've no doubt that overzealous system-hating fanboys will assert that there is nothing particularly special about The Conduit..."II_Seraphim_IIThat's not from the actual review, is it?

That's because they're held up to PS3/360 standards :P. Seriously though, it still looks like a rather generic shooter that just happens to be on the Wii, which is unusual for shooters.

It looks competitive with any other console shooter.Don't hold your breath.Well they have it plastered all over the Wii section so they might actually sneak the review in at a decent time.[QUOTE="Wii_Gamer_277"]AA on IGN :D Lets wait for the GS score before getting excited, Im pretty hyped for this game.kardine
"The Conduit is a fun first-person shooter, but beware: it's also a straightforward one. Run and gun, enemy spawners, and little else." this is 8/10 gameplay according to IGN. that place has always been a joke for professional reviews.HoldThePhone

Bah. If I want to play an FPS, I'll play it on the PC. Now hurry up and release something interesting, like Endless Ocean 2. I don't want to be playing new versions of the same games we've seen since the 64 bit era. Now, Wii owners. Buy this game if you want more hardcore fps-games in the future, or hardcore games in general. Show the developers that you exist.

[QUOTE="savebattery"]Good score, but I hate IGN. And most sources, for that matter.kardineIGN is one of the few good sources esp. for the Wii. You're only saying that because they give favorable scores to games you like. But there is no objectivity there. IGN is funded by ad revenue from game publishers. IGN has been exposed doing ridiculous things on more than one occasion. They called Sonic and the Black Knight "short" even though they didn't complete the game. They played it to the false ending, and totally missed out on the real ending as well as things like Legacy Stages. Do yourself a favor and stop reading game reviews from mainstream sources. User reviews are the way to go.

User reviews are the way to go. No that is not why I like them. Sometimes they are even more harsh. The are one of the best sources esp. for Wii because very few review sites rarely even properly cover the Wii let alone give motion controls and things like that a fair review. I cannot count how many times a reviewer from other sites have passed good motion controls of as "unresponsive" As for the Sonic review, its still short and lacking in replay value. Can you prove that he did not play the real ending and it would have to be pretty amazing if its so important to change the score. The game was bad and GS even agrees with that. Do yourself a favor and stop going on the hate train. IGN is so much better than your generalizations try to paint it. User reviews are often filled with fanboy garbage, see I can generalize as well. I do look at some user reviews, just not the all out loving games because that user is a fan and the ones all out hating it because they are a hater.

First of all, if you played Sonic and the Black Knight, you'd know that review was garbage. I shouldn't have to explain this. Second, have you seen the way Hilary reviewed Sonic Unleashed? I dare you to watch the video review. Hilary literally says "Nightteen stages" instead of Nighttime. Lastly, GS is just as bad as IGN at reviewing games. I don't see why'd you trust them after the Kane & Lynch incident.

This. the wii has lower standards for graphics, the gameplay standards are the same that's why galaxy on goty And what was Galaxy competiting against cause the best thing about was graphics. Most Nintendo brand games get good scores despite those franchises already being dead. How much of the same game can people play?

Its because a awesome game which is on the Wii scored higher than a game upon the PS3 lol. Galaxy deserved its score. The Wii is all I have. Sorry if PS2 gets me more entertainment.
