[QUOTE="GreySeal9"]

[QUOTE="gaming25"] (hint) the reviewer on IGN probably didnt play that much of Gran Turismo 5.gaming25

And what are you going to say if the game gets an 8.5 (which is very likely) on GS?

Relax. This has more to do with the amount of time each reviewer had with the game. Doesnt matter what score GS will give it, the fact of the matter is that the reviewer for GS wouldve played a lot more of it than the reviewer for IGN did.

I doubt we'd even be having a conversation about the amount of time played if IGN had given it a 9.5.

You are probably right. But then again, you wont know until you play the game.

A huge disappointment for me that was not listen would have to be Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2. I expected improvements and a great story. What was given was a poorer version of the first installment and a story that was thrown in, if you call it a story.

I disagree with 1 and 10. Both FFXIII and Sonic 4 exceeded my expectations by a long shot.

The Move and Kinect don't surprise me, really. As for GT5, personally I think it's a lot of fun.

I use to like IGN.. but how can you read, listen, and trust anything IGN when it comes to their reviews? These are the very same people that gave Splinter Cell: Conviction a 9.3 and then turned around and gave GT5 an 8.5. Sure, they are "different' reviewers but if that's the professional standard they have their employees uphold, then it's a shame. My 2 cents: Do not, and I repeat, do not trust reviews by critics 100% of the time. It's 2010, I thought people would have known this by now..

Completely agree with number one. I still haven't recovered from my disappointment.

FFXIII was a victim of it's own hype. It was a great game. It's just that everyone expected some sort of revolution. Why, I'll never understand. I personally had a blast with it. I'm still playing it to this day.
