From IGN.com #37 MGS Peace walker page...

"Yeah, we gave Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots a 10, but that was the summation of Solid Snake's story. If you were just jumping in, Peace Walker would be the way to go."

Far Cry 2 beat Crysis. This list is meaningless.

Worst list I have ever seen. I don't even know where to begin. I mean to say whats wrong with it is just too much, and it would be easier for me to make my own :P.

I'll admit, I was a little butt hurt over that. Unless I am mistaken though, no game and its sequel were on the list. What I mean Halo: Reach was there, but not Halo 3. Uncharted 2 was there but not Uncharted. Portal 2 but no Portal.

Pretty happy with the list, glad the right game won, and the top 3 are pretty spot on.

How the heck is ME2 even CLOSE to the best game this gen? I honestly dont get it. I am baffled by this opinion. I enjoyed the game very much, but to say that it has little to nothing wrong with it is just wrong.

Rock Band 2 beat out Rock Band 3 (its sequel).

Its a terrible list. Infamous 2 is a good game, but its not a top 50 game MGS4 should be in the top 40 and even higher than that.

They said they were only going to use one game from a franchise. This is why Peace Walker is there but not MGS4.

Either way, it doesn't matter. Far Cry 2 is on that list. Its simply wrong.

Am I missing something groundbreaking about about Bioshock and the Portal series? I've beaten all the games and while they are quite fun, they aren't anything groundbreaking. They didn't make me look at the possibilities videogames/level design in the same way as the Galaxy games have.

This list is adequate at most. I understand why people like Bioshock, but number 2 seems a little high.

IGN has wrong opinions.

Braid is about the only game on that list I agree 100% with. But I would rank it higher, maybe top 20.

But as for the rest of those games, I wouldn't put most of them on my top 100 list. I'm sure I haven't played enough games this gen to have a top 100 list, but I wouldn't want to give most of those games the honor of being on that list.

Some of those games I would keep on the list, such as Portal 2 or Team Fortress 2, but maybe I'd put them lower on the list.

And why the hell isn't Metal Gear Solid 4 on this list???? I thought IGN gave it a perfect score. Not only that, but MGS4 is unlike anything I've ever played before. That game is a masterpiece, it nears perfection. I liked MGS4 as an experience and as a game just about equally.

I'd also put Amnesia the Dark Descent on that list, somewhere in the top 10.

My number 1 game of this gen would be Tales of Vesperia though.

I knew the list would be awful when I saw that Demon's Souls was only #100 I knew it would be a crap list.

Its a terrible list. Cut the Rope is better than Demon's Souls, Crysis, Far Cry 2, Resistance 2, and KZ2 ?Nonstop-Madness

I really think that they should of made this list after then current gen has ended. I mean there are still tons of games later this year and after to be released that may be way better then some of these games on that list. And btw I think that some of these games on that top 100 are horrible and I'm surprised that they didn't add the better ones.

I'm willing to say that that's the most random assortment of games I've ever seen. I don't understand how they ranked them, by importance to the industry, by most ground breaking, or just by the ones they liked the best? I don't see logic in it, but then agian, it's just a list.

The #1 choice was spot on. I would've listed UC2, GoWIII and Gears a little higher, and RDR should be in the Top 25 or so, not Top 10. But the list is great, overall. khoofia_pika

I loved DA:O too but 89 just seem bit too off. Well who am I kidding it's not like I'm gonna lose my job if DA:O didn't get higher score :P it's all good.
