I'm noticing a consistent trend of the XBone missing out on GAMES..

The PC and PS4 are getting the bulk of any games coming out in future and the Xbone gets left behind.

So now that Halo has flopped and Gears and Quantum Break are next in line, this looks like the typical MS console strategy. Blow their load in 1 or 2 years and have nothing else. How's that skype and television with Grandma paying off though ?

Quite well actually. Had a Skype call with the fam the other day, and that Snap feature comes in handy. Also Halo was a good game but system wars only cares about scores and sales numbers so have fun with that. Yup this sums it all about up.

It is true that although the Xbone and PS4 released a week apart in Nov 2013 and both machines have very, very similar architectures, the PS4 has over 300+ more games (more games retail and digital). The library gap has only been increasing.

It's a little odd to me since porting the games would be fairly easy compared to last gen, and it would be easy money, but that's how the cookie crumbles.

I mean coming from the guys who made famous the "PS3 has no games", "PS4 has no games" mantra and it repeatedly bites them in the ass, I just want to know the mindset their in right now...

The Xbox is really getting shafted in the games department. Every month or so a new game is announced that won't see light of day on the Xbox. Why ? As others have mentioned, the architecture is similar and they both released around same time basically. My guess is the PS4's popularity gets it games just like the PS2. PC always gets games aswell. BUT I thought Microsoft's money was supposed to buy them exclusives ? and not just NFL deals and DLC.

What are these games the XB1 are missing out on? I only know of 1 title. The rest is shovelware.

Depends on what your personal criteria for gaming in, what you like, dislike and the platform you like to game on. Too many factors really to open an honest an open discussion over such a broad subject for heavens sakes!

The PS4 is doing well mostly because it was $100 cheaper than the XB1 at launch and people wanted to play all those killer multiplatforms with their friends. And people are cheap and always take the better deal.

That's it.

The next Kojima game will not release until the PS5. SFV is kind of meh unless you're big into fighters.

EDIT; Personally, I do care about SFV, so I built a new PC instead of giving Sony money. I'll do the same for the next Kojima game.

I smell a troll thread here for real, but with games like Scalebound, Crackdown, Gears, Halo, Forza, Cup Head, Below, Sea of Thieves, Quantum Break, Killer Instinct season 3 and Fable Legends to name a few, they'll be fine next year with games along with 3rd party games.

I do not need a "link" because it's an opinion. His game development is notoriously known for going over budget and the deadline. I can't imagine him releasing a new game within 3-4 years.

The Xbox One is bombing just as badly as the first Xbox in worldwide sales:

* Dead in Japan and Europe

* Easily being beat by Sony in the US

* On track for about the same ~25 million installed base depending on how long before Microsoft dumps the console

No more RRoD to massively inflate installed base numbers.

Xbone was cheaper last year and the majority of this year and it still didn't beat the PS4. Face it, no one wants an Xbone.

The Sony hype train has been steaming away for a while now, and it blows my mind how many people have hopped aboard with so little going for it. Like seriously, the only true quality exclusive it's received so far is Bloodborne. In two freaking years.

The only reason it generated such interest was because of that initial price gap. Now people are buying it because it's what all their friends have.

Same thing happened with the 360/PS3.

Nice opinion you got there. Some would disagree and say there are more quality exclusives that you are overlooking.

You also make it sound like people only buy consoles to play exclusives when there are other factors like the fact that PS4 gets all the superior versions of console multiplat games. Also the games that only appear on PC and PS4 that the Xbone is missing out could also be a driving force for sales.

The number of people buying Xbox Ones is so embarrassingly low that Microsoft refuses to admit the actual numbers or even their old lame game of 'channel stuffed shipments to retailers'.
