@magicalclick: you are comparing No Man's Sky a PC/PS4 exclusive to ED a timed console exclusive as a reason why the Xbone isn't missing out on games. You don't find that contradictory?
@magicalclick: you are comparing No Man's Sky a PC/PS4 exclusive to ED a timed console exclusive as a reason why the Xbone isn't missing out on games. You don't find that contradictory?
@HalcyonScarlet: I've been a console/PC gamer since childhood so I don't know what you're talking about really. He was saying the PS4 has no purpose if you have a decent rig and I said that wasn't true because of the exclusives Sony has that I happen to like that will never be on PC. I don't know what your gaming habit has to do with anything I said. You don't like consoles? Good for you but I and a lot of people do and that's why they continue to sell well.
Well he's right. Most of the exclusives are hardly worth buying a console for and the rest are multiplats.
However my point was just because someone has a decent PC, it doesn't mean anything. Someone can be a console gamer until they choose otherwise.
@HalcyonScarlet: Well that's your opinion and his. I beg to differ and I say he PS4 still has enough exclusives worth getting it for even as a PC gamer. I'm not going to miss out on games like Uncharted 4 and The Last Guardian.
@HalcyonScarlet: Well that's your opinion and his. I beg to differ and I say he PS4 still has enough exclusives worth getting it for even as a PC gamer. I'm not going to miss out on games like Uncharted 4 and The Last Guardian.
Yes it is all opinion and it's up to an individual to decide if they really want to drop over £300 for one or two games.
But I don't see it. Everything becoming multiplat with the PC has just killed consoles for me.
@Douevenlift_bro: Wrong. Fighting games are my favorite genre, but lets not pretend its the most popular genre.
During the PS2 gen, I enjoyed SEVERAL games that weren't the most popular genre. Perhaps even more so
Your point ?
My point, is that it isn't a huge genre. Not many are gonna care if you have SFV when they have Call of Trash and Madden.
So bullshit conjecture then just like your other opinion was.
I never stated in my post that it was a fact. Learn to read.
You stated it like it was a fact...
"The next Kojima game will not release until the PS5"
So, my post did not read as, "According to x and y, the next Kojima game will not release until the PS5." It was obviously a opinion.
Well when you make a wild claim like that expect people to assume you were saying it as a fact. I can't read your mind you know.
Edit: You never said "according to..." anywhere in your original post.
I know I never said, "according to" in my original post. I figured that's why people would know its my opinion. If it's a fact I would include a citation. Chalkin this one up to miscommunication.
What are these games the XB1 are missing out on? I only know of 1 title. The rest is shovelware.
Street Fighter V and the next Kojima game are shovelware?
Lems and their excuses.
You didn't know? Every Japanese or AA/indie game except for Scalebound/Ashen/Cuphead/Below don't count. Oh and don't forget Killer Instinct: Season 3.
None of these count:
etc...
The ****? Cuphead is a Eastern developed game? I did not know that at all. Also, KI is 100% a western game. Don't lie.
@kingtito: He's right. PS3 came out of the gates outselling the 360 in worldwide totals from day one that's why it caught up in sales towards the end of the gen. The only place the 360 outsold PS3 was in NA. It sounds like you're the ignorant lem.
No he's not right. The 360 did win in a year or 2 in total WW sales. The PS3 won most but not all. Look it up
@makemefamous07: What a meltdown and Bloodborne >>>> Xbone's mediocre 2015 lineup
Let me throw you a hypothetical question. If someone offered you Halo 5, Rare Replay, Rise of The Tomb Raider, Gears Ultimate, and Forza 6 or Bloodborne. Would you choose that 1 title over those 5?
So now that Halo has flopped and Gears and Quantum Break are next in line
Halo didn't flop.
Gears will do very well.
Quantum Break looks awesome.
@intotheminx: Yes I'd still pick Bloodborne. The only game you listed worth my time is ROTTR and it's moot considering I'll be able to play it the way it was meant to be played on PC in a few months (none of that 30fps rubbish).
The PC and PS4 are getting the bulk of any games coming out in future and the Xbone gets left behind.
So now that Halo has flopped and Gears and Quantum Break are next in line, this looks like the typical MS console strategy. Blow their load in 1 or 2 years and have nothing else. How's that skype and television with Grandma paying off though ?
No more RRoD to massively inflate installed base numbers.
Like Sony did with the PS2 with the Disc Reading Error?
Are we talking games? Or are we talking about blockbuster games?
If it's the latter PS4 ain't looking so good. Did you not see PSX? Where everyone was hoping for a big announcement that never happened? Most of the games shown look like you could play on a phone or tablet. And sadly that is the majority of the games Xbox is (not really) missing.
5 or more Big Blockbuster exclusives so far for next year announced so far for Xbox. Games that i am interested in. If not your thing so be it. Save for maybe 2 Sony exclusives ain't much there. But that's my opinion. If you see a bunch of games you think you will love then have at em.
No more RRoD to massively inflate installed base numbers.
Like Sony did with the PS2 with the Disc Reading Error?
It is hilarious to think back to those days when the magnitude of the RRoD fiasco was hitting Xbox fans.
* Forum posts from Xbox fans talking about the RRoD fiasco causing them to go out and buying 3,4,5+ replacement units over the year and a half before Microsoft was forced to start paying for replacement units
* The jet engine loud noise from the POS last gen DVD drive spinning at an absurd rate
* The giant external Ghostbusters powerbrick because Microsoft was too incompetent to design a decent internal cooling system like Sony
* The crappy last gen DVD drive mechanism scratching/destroying game disc
Suddenly Xbox fans started making up stories about owning PS2s and having them die 'five times' - why they seemed to always make up the same 'five times' who knows.
Microsoft was forced to pay 1.1 billion dollars just replacing the initial couple of years Xbox 360 models. That number doesn't include the costs of the hardware failures that continued to plague the POS system well into its fourth or fifth year with each new model claiming to have finally fixed the hardware problems.
Making up stories about the PS2 isn't going to make the RRoD fiasco and Microsoft's massively inflated installed base with the 360 go away.
The Xbox One without the RRoD fiasco massively inflating its installed base has the almost exact sales numbers as the first Xbox marketplace failure. What an amazing coincidence.
The lesson for Xbox fans and the Xbox One is you can't lose marketshare you never had.
The Xbox One is getting, and will get, the very same lack of support from game developers and publishers as the first Xbox.
Take Microsoft's NPD numbers and you have roughly 80 percent of the Xbox One's worldwide sales numbers. Hitting Xbox lifetime installed base numbers or maybe a few million higher is what you get depending on how soon Microsoft dumps the console.
Given a choice between a marketplace failure like the Xbox One or the PS4 which is selling at a faster rate than the all time console sales leader the PS2 and its 155 million installed base and third party developers and publishers are picking Sony. The only people who should be surprised third party support is rapidly fading are Xbox fans who have been living in the retarded fantasy world of made up the twenty years old Xbox fan at vgchartz.
The next Kojima game will not release until the PS5. SFV is kind of meh unless you're big into fighters.
LINK?
I do not need a "link" because it's an opinion. His game development is notoriously known for going over budget and the deadline. I can't imagine him releasing a new game within 3-4 years.
Talking out of your ass then?

In other words you are in denial about the PS2 Disc reading error?

Sounds to me like you're the one in denial. PS2 DRE was nowhere near as prevalent as RROD was and you know it.

Egh there's a lot of truth to that though, he does push games extremely far beyond their deadlines and budgets. Look at MGSV, engine wise it was obviously started as a last generation game/engine but was pushed into this generation, his next game is likely to do the same things, especially with the likely reality that this generation will be more traditional in terms of length (5-6 years).

Meh, reverse of last gen is all
The 360 had more games than the Ps3, it's just the way the it goes, the 360 was best for multiplats last gen so it got more multiplats, Ps4 is the best for multiplats this gen so it gets more multiplats.
360 had more arcade games than the ps3 last gen, Ps4 has more arcade games this gen.
Xbox one is getting all the heavy hitters so it doesn't really matter.
LOL @ the lems in denial in this thread. You are right OP, the Xbone is getting boned hard this gen.
No self respecting publisher will make exclusive deals with them after seeing how TR bombed. This gen is a total nightmare for lems lol.
Who cares, when Xbone has no games
Fixed for you
So by your own logic the PS3 got totally destroyed by the 360 last gen because that had more games than the Ps3 last gen.
'No self respecting publisher will make exclusive deals with them after seeing how TR bombed.'
Rubbish, they didn't stop making exlusive deals with MS after Too human bombed.
One game bombs and you think all the developers will run for the hills?
Thats reaching mate,Get real sunshine, come back to reality.

More like flops. None of the Xbone's exclusives have made a serious impact this gen.
Halo 5 its biggest game isn't even in the top 20 best games this year on GS and the Xbone is yet to receive a AAAE on MC.
Xbone was cheaper last year and the majority of this year and it still didn't beat the PS4. Face it, no one wants an Xbone.
Except all those people buying them still.
The number of people buying Xbox Ones is so embarrassingly low that Microsoft refuses to admit the actual numbers or even their old lame game of 'channel stuffed shipments to retailers'.
so it's in the same position the Ps3 was in for the first 2 years of it's life yet that still went on to be a success.
I will wait till the end of the gen to decide whether it's a failure or not

Not really.
PS3 had MGS4 in its first 2 years, a game that was widely acclaimed and scored AAAA on here and IGN while gathering numerous GOTY awards. Xbone isn't even close lol.
PS3 was also outselling the 360 worldwide thanks to Europe. Xbone is getting outsold everywhere.
What games is it missing out on? Those handful of exclusive games that only the Sony faithful really care about?
The PS4 is doing well mostly because it was $100 cheaper than the XB1 at launch and people wanted to play all those killer multiplatforms with their friends. And people are cheap and always take the better deal.
That's it.
Xbone was cheaper last year and the majority of this year and it still didn't beat the PS4. Face it, no one wants an Xbone.
Then why do the November sales numbers only show the PS4 being ahead by a few hundred thousand units?
I'm not going to argue that the Xbox One is selling worse then the PS4, but the Xbox One is still selling decently enough. If the numbers on the Xbox One put it at 17-20 million units then its only ten million behind the PS4.
The only reason why Street Fighter V and Kojima's new game is not coming the Xbox One is because Sony had either bought the rights to the game or helped fund development costs.
Feel free to point out a AAA third-party exclusive that is not coming to the Xbox One that Sony does not have a hand in paying money for it.
The Xbox One is not as dead as people think. It might never win this generation, but its also not dead.

It's not even close to 17 million though. Estimates on GAF put it at 15 million at best and even less than that at worst. It's only selling well in the US, everywhere else it's getting destroyed. 80% of its sales come from NA.

Lemmings, maybe you should stop bashing Sony consoles for so called not having games? 3 generations now you've been spanked by Sony in Software..
See a trend ?
Ask Microsoft to stop investing in DLC and faceplates and who knows what and buy some studios.

3 generations? more like 2, we are only 2 years into this gen, bit premature to call it a SONY victory in the exclusive departments.
Also, last gent the Ps3 had about 3 or 4 more high rated exclusives than the xbox 360, thats not a spanking by any stretch of the imagination.
And the 360 ended up with the most high rated games overall last gen.

I don't give a shit about DRE or Sony's problems with it. I do however care about rabid lems lying about RROD. It was a big freaking deal, so big in fact that MS paid over a $1 billion for it, such a screw up has never happened in electronics history. For idiots like you to compare DRE to it is laughable at best and shows how much of a rabid lemming you are.
"Bu bu bu but I dont play on consoles."
Like that stops you from being a lemming.
It's called paying off developers, kick backs and free dev kits.
What did you think the money from the 10k employee layoff, selling every bit of real estate they owned, and closing of multiple divisions sent towards?
We no longer live in the days of the snes, genesis, shit the ps2, ps3 era either where the competing systems are so different in architecture that it is a major hit to port something.
There is no logical tech reason for it so it comes down to business, Sony has a sunk tons of money, and Microsoft's executives with the comments in the past two years have tamped down on any unneeded expenditures as they see it.
You can claim anything you want but it makes no good sense in business to deny your self multiple millions of possible customers when the tech is not a barrier unless you are being covered in some way for that potential loss.
Note: leaked Sony emails we had last year show that Sony uses the same business practices as everyone else.
Note 2: to those that day bubu bubu Sony pictures>_< save it.

Xbox one is getting all the heavy hittersso it doesn't really matter.
lol if only that were the case
but it's not literally not getting all the "heavy hitters" pun intended, it's actually missing the biggest one lol.
And if you don't think SFV is a heavy hitter then it's probably the reason xbox fans have less games and market share this gen.
Saying you don't care about great games simply because they aren't on your console you prefer isn't a good argument especially when the game/s are bigger than virtually all the "heavy hitters" on the console you are arguing for.
Outside of Halo, nothing on xbox is a bigger heavy hitter than Street Fighter and you can bet on that.
@LJS9502_basic: I guess opinions and speculation are no longer allowed on this forum. Everyone should only post links here on out.
@foxhound_fox: long as you know thats why the 360 did well initially, mqking devs hesitant to learn a devolope for the cell. Either way you spin it ps4 is winning in everything but flagship titles. In which ms on leads cuase they just drop halo. After uncharted 4 theres nothing to say but you simply prefer there exclusives
