im so tired of hearing COD4>Halo 3!!!!

Well everybody elses logic seems to be that the game is too casual , and is so because it is too easy. Im just stating that the game takes much skill, and that higher ranked players would wipe the floor with the people making those comments. I got a comment that CS is hardcore, and I would have a k/d ratio of -12 in my first game. Well I would hope so, since the ranking sytem is pretty non existent. There are just so many great things that Halo 3 does right, from mechanics and controls, to weapons and vehicles, user created content with forge, and the theatre mode. The game always offers something exciting and fun, and it does take a lot of skill. Don't call it casual because you play some little kids in your first matchmaking games at a low rank, because you may have the past experiences with other FPS that would naturally make you better than some noobs. Thats my logic. I can understand not liking the game if your not a big fan of FPS's, but to out right bash it and tag it casual is a bit fanboyish,

its a fun game but i prefer cod4 a lot more. halo's campaign imo sucked (all three of them). i guess the way it plays im not a big fan of. i guess im less into scifi shooters.

Because they think they are good at the game, but in reality they aren't and are just playing people who are worse than them. Thats just the way the ranking sytem works in the beginning. I thought you could have figured that one out.

It's funny how people here say halo 3 is casual, but COD4 is somehow not casual... NOT.

Memo to everyone here: COD4 is not any more complicated or intruiging than halo 3. The weapons are less different from each other, every single match is grenade spamfest, and every single MP level in the game is ripped straight from the campaign. Also you can barely call the recoil in COD4 recoil that's difficult to control. It's about as difficult to control as that of an SMG in halo 3. Playing COD4 was pretty mind numbing for me (and I was usually the top player).

Another thing that strikes me: "Halo 3 is casual trash". If that's not elitism, I don't know what is. If bungie did one thing great with the halo franchise, it's making it accessible for people with hobbies besides gaming (lulz!) and making it easy for people to have fun with it. I'm sad to see that most of SW sees that as a bad thing. I actually think it's admirable, and it's the main reason why the fps genre is so popular today.

I'm not saying one game is clearly better than the other here, as it's mainly preference that counts, but it's just plain ignorant to say halo 3 is trash. The public has said otherwise, reviewers have said otherwise. It's fine if you say you clearly think COD4 or other shooters are better, but please don't tag every other opinion as just one coming from some ignorant casual.

Both games are great.

Single Player : Both were mediorce but Cod 4's was more enjoyable.

Multiplayer: I can't help but feel Cod4 is more noob friendly even though halo is very noob friendly as well. I would say they are equal.

I could never get into COD4's MP, so I like Halo 3's better. But yeah thats just my oppinion.

Thank you, someone who appreciates Team Fortress 2! Although I disagree its better than COD4, like you said we can all have different opinions.

Halo 3 is far superior to COD4.

Halo 3 actually has competetant offline MP. COD4 can't even do more than one person per screen with System link and you can't custimize your perks with Split screen. Which leaves only online MP, which COD4 does fairly well, until you realize all you do is see people using martyrdom and M16's. It is far from balanced.

I agree it is overrated but, why so much hate for the game. also i am way better at call of duty 4 than halo 3. its just that i am more into hardcore shooters and call of duty feels like a cusual game where everyone can easily pick it up and play. MRwhatsisname

Halo 3 had a horrible story it's the same freakin game over and over with a little bit added on... Graphics arent up to par with the ratings it got for an overrated game. Halo 3 is a good game it's just that it's overrated and all it is is an alright decent good game... I'd give it a 7.7/10

The online multiplayer is MORE MAINSTREAM than Halo. And this is particularly funny because although CoD4 has sold very well, it hasn't come close to the sales numbers of Halo 3. Yet, it is STILL more popular online than Halo 3.
