I'm sorry for the most part PC games don't look THAT much better than consoles..

I know what he said. :P ME2 was an exceptionally pretty game, especially on PC. The higher res, slightly more detailed modeling and shadows really hit it home, in addition to the advantages of running it at a perfect 60 FPS.

I suppose I could have fidgeted a bit more with the settings. I agree that your images were better.

Those weren't mine, but I'd be happy to post some. The secret about ME2 is that the majority of the settings are in the launcher, not the game itself IIRC.

I use a mod manager for my ME2.

I added things like much higher res shadows, LOD, lighting, poly models and other stuff.

The game is wholly inconsistent, you can have great character facial models and textures, but the textures for thebody of the character are absolutely atrocious. The environments are above average but nothing too amazing.

The only thing that i would say looks amazing to really exceptional is the asari facial models

Actually to tell you the truth any 580 demo on youtube looks stunning.. and so does tesselation (and thats after youtube crappy compression and 720p).. we are far from reaching the limit of graphics/visuals they have only just begun.

Cgi in real-time has also been done in 2008, pc exclusive games will take advantage of the tech in the next few years.. after that both sony and microsoft will have to introduce the next gen consoles
