That is some bs.....more of those Sony lies.

Just read the dual shockers website article and TC failed to leave out this:

"Update: Since some will take every possible chance to flame (or to be overly defensive), I feel compelled to clarify something: Not once the article mentions a “downgrade” or an “upgrade,” and that’s because there isn’t ground to mention something like that. The article mentions differences, and there are indeed differences in lighting, time of day and environmental design. In addition to that at least a scene has been changed in its content. The comparison is not about quality and visual fidelity. It’s a simple before and after face-off to show how a game evolves in nine months of development.
“Difference” does not mean downgrade. It doesn’t mean upgrade. It means “difference.” That’s all there’s to it. The scene portrayed simply looks radically different. It doesn’t look necessarily worse or better. Just different."
Nice try, you had me at one point.
Just looks like lighting to me. No biggie.
All you're seeing is lighter colors brought on by a different time of day, a different position of the light source, and more contrast brought on by the different time of day. From what I can see there was no real physical downgrade, just a huge color and lighting shift based upon setting the scene at a different time of day. The light is clearly hitting the second images from a completely different perspective than before.
The textures and character models look virtually unchanged and the facial models have actually been improved. If you crank up the contrast and give the scene a bit brighter light and remove the orange effect, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the screens.
Of course that's all too logical to think about when you're mindlessly bashing a game. The image is a bit softer (probably a less intense AA method) and the shadows are probably a bit lower resolution, but the overall visuals of the game haven't really changed.
Everything I've seen from the latest gameplay videos the last week has been proof the game is as graphically impressive as the first time they've shown it. I was actually surprised to see it running so many particle effects and lighting effects yet able to keep a smooth framerate.
Your ignorance doesn't change those things no matter how many times you try to convince us otherwise.
Wow, lemmings going for that straw grasping again. Pretty sad.
Best looking game of the gen so far, without a doubt. Poor lems. :(
Makes me laugh that lems are using screencaps from two compressed Youtube videos to try and make some kind of point.
Can't wait for Infamous to melt faces - your shitposting can't kill the hype. :D
Even Sports Rivals looks better.
Hope you do know that everything you say is not always a fact.
Dear god TC change your topic title. Its a graphics downgrade (which almost always happens) from the bullshots which are used to hype and publicise a game and that fanboys always seem to buy hook, line and sinker. When you talk about a game being "dumbed down" it means the AI or UI rather than graphically.
bullshots used to be more just resolution-enhacements... this is getting out of hands.
well it's just more of gamers being more aware of what "Next-Gen" is capable of IE: What many of us were saying before Next Gen happened.
Graphics wouldn't change much, but the Resolution and Framerate will be better and so far that's exactly what we've been given.
thats questionable as well. i think the games look really nice, but yea im still waiting for cgi quality like in trailers. how many more gens before this becomes a reality

My man...
@PinkieWinkie: It crosses my Mind the developers downgraded the game because the system couldn't handle the lighting, textures, shadows, models, etc and keep a good frame rate.
Has nothing to do with just "changing the time of day." If you put the same scene it is now at the exact time of day it was at E3 2013 you would NOT magically get that E3 2013 demo.
That's not true at all... the dynamic day and night cycle doesn't exist because they wanted set weather for different scenes. "can't handle it" is a baseless statement.
http://www.dualshockers.com/2014/03/08/infamous-second-son-lack-of-dynamic-daynight-cycle-and-presenceabsence-of-shadows-explained/
Um, I don't see a downgrade. The current screenshots look more refined and Cole looks a bit different. The difference in lighting could be explained away by noticing how the first set was taken at a different time of the day (noon?) while current set looks like they were taken during afternoon.
Try again.
Lmfao the thread is backfiring, TC now so desperate he has to point out that because a logo on a jacket has appeared that it's a downgrade. Posting more pictures while inevitably highlighting that it really is just the lighting.
Congrats Freedomfreelem
@FreedomFreeLife: You just confirmed everything I said. Completely different lighting from a time of day difference. This also may introduce a haze to the environment (there is a lot of smoke/haze i the screens we've seen) or you're just taking the second from a really poor source.
You're not convincing anybody here.

Lower textures, no shadows is day differences???
@FreedomFreeLife: There aren't shadows in the same spots when the light is coming at you from a different angle and the "lower textures" is just you picking shitty compressed videos. There is also a noticeable amount of color gradient changes based upon ToD and lower contrast brought on by a different color/angle/intensity of the light.
You do a great job of ignoring all of that.
Can't believe I almost fully believed bias TC. I feel dirty, lem dirty. Some of the koolaid passed my lips :(. This delicious thread backfire will keep me entertained until I can work out a way to purge my internals.
@Wasdie: FYI SP confirmed they removed dynamic shadows in the final game to keep performance up. It was very clear in the demo where delsin didn't cast any shadows except for the cut scene moments where they magically appeared
The game looks fine in the trailer. Maybe they were making graphics that they think were close to the PS4's capabilities. They were wrong though. If that wasn't the case, they pulled a WatchDogs.
@darkangel115: When did they do that and when did they say they did it? I saw plenty of dynamic light.
Edit: Actually you are right, there are't any dynamic shadows cast from the dynamic light sources. I'm sure the sun will cast shadows on the environment but each light source doesn't. That's weird.

I edited my response to him. There aren't really any shadows in any of the latest gameplay. It is the middle of the night and I expect the sun and major, static, light sources to cast shadows, but all of the dynamic lights don't cast shadows.
I understand how taxing that could be on a CPU/GPU but it's definitely a weird omission if you're looking for them.
That said, everything I've said is still true. Different time of day, different position of the sun, a lot of things are different and yet being compared. I'll guarantee you the sun will be a light source object cast a shadow from. It's just the dynamic lights created from all of the effects don't.
Time to end this unprecedented display of pathetic fanboy tactics by the worst group of fanboys in existence. This is a screenshot that I took of the NEW developers walk though with gameinfromer from the gameplay video that I post.
Check the vid now to confirm...
It clearly shows that there was NO downgrade compared to the old screens and proves that desperate lems did in fact tamper with screens, which sets a new all time low for how desperate the xbox fan base has become and how much damage control they are in over Infamous Second Son.
Wait wait, I thougth jacket was supposed to be all smudged like the pics the TC showed ???????????????????
Wait I thought Infamous SS was blurred with no shadows now, this seems to look even more detailed...
Lemming damage control has never reached higher peaks, and shows how desperately afraid of this game they really are and Snugenz the fanboy who claims not to be a lemming fell right on on with them. The asshurt is EPIC, now and this is an epic damage control maneuver on new levels
THIS THREAD IS TOTAL FAIL. Mr. Mod your thoughts?
BTW:

Yep, downgraded... Looks like blurry Xbox One games. The lighting... Yuck.
Good thing I don't like the Infamous series.

Hmm, well the devs said themselves that they removed dynamic shadows from some light sources so they should be still in there some where. I think one person mentioned that in the test chamber footage(posted above, google the vid) there' even a piece of paper that's rolling about in the wind casting a shadow.

Check my post then watch the vid In HD to see the TC and the pics are BS. None of the pictures I posted were Bullshots they were actual shots of live footage of the dev footage that I screne shotted, so the TC's Infamous Second Son "downgrade" claims have been debunked.
Best looking game of the current gen right here, The lem damage control almost had you.

In all seriousness, the obsession people have with these minor details are kinda sad. Not having shadows doesn't ruin the game, neither does a downgrade in graphics. But it is a weird omission. I remember when i went form my PS2 to the OG xbox and was used to the circle shadow that followed everyone around, and played splinter cell and was so impressed with the lighting and shadows. even lights coming through fans in vents were amazing and moved real time. So i can understand 10+ years later, people wanting to see it as a basic thing. Doesn't effect me in any way, as I'm not buying the game but it has nothing to do with graphics or shadows, just the game play is not my thing. too boring. Doesn't mean the game sucks, just means its not fun for me personally.

look at that part. even walking to the light. no shadow, until 12:10 where it magically appears due to the pre-baked cut scene happening (even if its in engine, still a cut scene) and shows the "in game" graphics everyone made a gif of, which really aren't in game when your playing. only on the cut scene of him suing that power.
Mods lock. There is no downgrade confirmed. In fact, articles are stating this. They are only noting lighting and other changes, no one is officially claiming downgrades. This info is out there, people are just looking to troll.
Lol, lemmings even with all your bait threads the facts remain the same.
Xbone is a weak POS that doesn't sell.
Considering they were taken from a significantly compress source (YouTube), it's hard to tell if there's really a difference aside from some different lighting.

Exactly.
The pics I scene spotted from new the live dev gameplay walk though destroyed this entire thread. It's funny to see the people who jumped in on this thinking they were on to something.
More Thread Kill for the hell of it.

The light source is coming from a different angle do you expect the shadows to be at the same spot? I mean like c'mon use your brain.

Actualy, this is now.
Impressive to see that it is even more detailed than the initial E3 2013 reveal. Also lighting is fantastic.
Seriously TC? Its obviously different times of the day, how can the shadows be in the same places? Lems have gone mad, even hyping some Kinect game lmao.
Damn, over so soon? Suddenly no one is making any arguments to defend the TC's OP amazing...lol
I wanted to hear some reverse damage control for the people who tried to jump on the TC's downgrade argument but I guess I did handily DESTROY the TC's argument.
It's all in a days work for someone who practices the live love learn philosophy that by the gamers for gamers company Sony lives by.
LoL at the TC, Snugenz and several other foolish posters who would listen to what a lem would say about anything, bu but teh downgradez....
SDC.
Cows will cow. Would be funny if this scores less then TF. Still no AAA cep Indies that ar graded asier
Move those goal posts fool, at least I see you are not dumb enough to jump on the TC's argument after he got his ass handed to him.
Now go run off and play theTitanfall that you paid about $350 too much to play on your weakbox 1
