I enjoyed R1, but found R2 to be a step back. Never really cared for R&C series. Hopefully there new game is good.

So, another one bites the dust
I wonder how many exlcusives PS3 has left anymore
Square - 360 - FF started on NES
Insomniac - 360 - but they still will be doing PS3 exclusives
MGS - 360 - MG and MG2 on MSX, MGS on PC, MGS2 on Xbox and PC
There is not much left

You're so ridiculous
Well, i can say the same for the PS3 lineup
I really see no problem in this. They already said they still going to commit to PS3, so its really not the same as Bungie leaving MS. This just gives them a chance to earn more money.

Electronic Arts announced a publishing agreement with independent developer Insomniac Games that will bring the studio's upcoming, all-new franchise to the PS3 and the Xbox 360, the first multiplatform release in Insomniac's storied 16-year history
As for the fairy tale that will keep making PS3 exclusives, well, is there a single person here that actuallyh believes that ?

You're showing your true colors here. PS3 has muuuuch more upcoming exclusives than 360.Surprised to see ppl talkin smack about Resistance. It's a good series although I preferred the weapon wheel in the first and I miss the life bar. Bread_or_Decide
It's not that Resistance is a bad game. The core game is reasonably well made. It's just that almost everything surrounding the core game is hugely uninspired. The level design is very pedestrian, the art style is non-existent, the visuals leave a heck of a lot to be desired, there were no interesting set-pieces, a potentially interesting story is squandered through overly minimalistic storytelling methods and one of the most generic main characters to ever grace a TV screen. To the game's credit, there are some really interesting weapons, but the levels IMO don't provide an exciting context in which to use them. It just feels like they weren't aiming to make the best FPS they could make, but rather to simply achieve a decent FPS.
I do think they provided an excellent compromise between regenerating health and the traditional life bar though.

I only know of Last Guardian and GT5, and i never buy racers

INB4 Lems who think Resistance is "generic" and Ratchet & Clank is a "kiddie, inferior platformer" suddenly get excited about this "mediocre" devs games. ... or am I too late?Hahadoukeni can't tell are you mocking insomniac or insomniac haters? Haters. I loved both Resistance's and pretty much every R&C made, and I hate how they get downplayed on here so much. They are extremely talented devs, especially when you consider what a tight timeline they have been working with. They have released 4 full AAA games (I'm talking industry AAA as in big budget, not Gamespot AAA like 9.0+) since the start of the gen. No small feat for anyone. Even their "weak" efforts like Resistance 2 have some redeeming qualities, like the co-op, which was freaking fantastic and addictive. Love Insomniac, I hope their multiplat game is even better than their exclusives. They have no excuses about working with the PS3's architecture too, there shouldn't be any of this "inferior port" nonsense. I guess it's just different taste.

Why should anyone care whether you care? You're like a bad joke that keeps telling itself over and over.

OT: Good for Insomniac, if they're looking to expand then it's a good commercial decision.

Or Bungie, for the PS3. Or even, heaven forbid, the Wii. :oSee what I did there?
Square have never been a first or second party studio for any of the three companies as far as I'm aware. So fail example anyway.

Its not going to happen. They have a great relationship with Sony and will still make exclusives for them. Insomniac is working on R3 right now. Square was never loyal to Sony and the relationship there was quite different.Insomniac is making one multiplat game, lets not get carried away here. They will still be developing plenty of PS3 exclusives. Congrats to 360 owners though, you finally get a game done by some talent.djsifer01Epic/Bungie/Turn 10/Remedy all say hey there!
Not surprising this rumor has been around for awhile now and after Bungie went multiplatform, I figured Insomniac would as well since the same source said both would go multiplatform. However, I think that this is different in that Insomniac will still make ps3 exclusives (probably R3). I think that Insomniac's next game isn't this game with EA but R3.

They will produce new Ratchet and Resistance exclusives for PS3 "We've heard that Insomniac Games has agreed to produce at least one more Ratchet & Clank title and perhaps two more Resistance games. Price declined to confirm those details, but did verify that his company is still working on both franchises." http://kotaku.com/5547071/ratchet--clank-makers-next-game-coming-to-the-xbox-360-ps3http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=248217
Interesting - you guys think it'll be likely?
Maybe now they'll create something original.NielsNL
Yeah, because that's what the 360 is known for this gen, its original games...
Quite true, actually.Good riddance. They couldn't hang with the Sony A-teams any longer so Ted Price and company can go take their C-level outfit somewhere else and make shovelware for EA!
Just kidding. They get my support as long as they make great games
Considering they're fairly experienced developing on the PS3 it shouldn't really matter. I doubt they'll Bayonetta anything for either console.http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=248217

I don't have any idea how you got the impression that I was directing any of this at you. I wasn't. I have no idea what your stance on Insomniac is. I'm stating that people are hypocrites. Insomniac sucks until they go multiplatform, same with Kojima, same with Square (except now that FF13 is underwhelming, they suck again), cows who thought Bungie was the most overrated dev ever are excited for their multiplat games. It's just sickening sometimes.
Because Sony own themThough Resistance and Ratchet & Clank will still remain Sony exclusives.

nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! why!?!?why!??! ah well, atleast Ratchet and Resistance will stay for PS3,those are great, anything else i will pass.Farewell IG...i started hating you ever since you didnt put Spyro 3 for EuroPsn  Ratchet_Fan8
Well of course your going to pass, isn't that the fanboy mantra?
I was thinking about that as well. Why go multi now, when the fanbase is really starting to take off? I didn't really like Resistance but the R&C games look like a lot of fun. Either way, I'm curious to see what new IP they will come up with. I hope this decision pays off for them.Congrats to Insomniac, thier games deserve to be enjoyed by all
Its a strange move, to go multi when the user base of the ps3 is now pretty big, oh well

And here's one from the horse's mouth (so to speak) and a word from Ted Price.
Hopefully Insomniac can maintain their high level of quality as they expand. Maybe now they'll get less undeserved grief around here (after this settles down, of course).

I guess you didn't read this: "Our relationship with Sony Computer Entertainment is still very strong, and continues as we develop additional projects exclusively for PlayStation 3 - projects that will take full advantage of our additional development time."darthogreDoesn't change the fact that they've gone multiplat. For new games. My guess is Sony owns some of the IP's they work on so that is why they did this deal so they can own the IP's and make them multiplatform. But as they said that doesn't mean they are all multiplatform. I'd be surprised if say R&C was mutliplatform but I guess we'll see. Their statement basically says a new game is going to be multiplatform........that doesn't mean everything.R&C will not be multiplatform Sony owns that IP same with Resistance series.
