I'm glad. The single player was one of my biggest disappointments. Fall of Man was sooo much better.

Resistance lost its identity with R2. Resistance felt like its own world and everything, but R2 kinda threw that all away to follow popular trend, and it received quite the backlash from fans because of it. The atmosphere, the enemies, and everything, all felt much more oppressive in Fall of Man.
R2's story was mediocre, characters were mediocre, loss of weapon wheel sucked, boss fights were extremely underwhelming... especially after Insomniac's hype for 'em, and environments just weren't as good or cool. I still remember playing the snow level in Fall of Man for the first time.
The bosses were very typical and standard, even though Ted Price and crew hyped them up as otherwise. Hey, here's a rocket launcher laying on the ground in front of you. Hey, there's a boss walking under a bridge-like structure. Hmm, I wonder what I should do? And if I don't, what will happen? Very predictable and average. Then you have the other that crawled around the top of the building. Then the one where you're standing on the platform in the water and using the rocket launcher. Etc. Then the last floating squid-like main villain was a joke of a boss. The outcome was pretty awesome, because you go FORCE POWAZ! But yeah, the bosses were lame.
