Console games don't come anywhere close to games like System Shock 2, or Company of Heroes, or Homeworld and such games in innovation.

Online multiplayer? The PC had that for even longer than a decade.

Mods? The PC had that for a decade.

And don't bother bringing up Halo 3's forge. The PC had more powerful map editors in the last generation.

Either way, I don't care about consoles. I'm an RTS gamer, after all, and only one con is getting an actual RTS lineup. Composed of one unproven exclusive and the rest are inferior PC ports. The PC is the obvious RTS gamer's platform - I certainly don't see any games like Company of Heroes or Homeworld on consoles, my 2 favourite games of all time.

The Witcher is an RPG, Adventure games are Sam and Max, Monkey Island etc

i have to admit i have no freaking idea of what is the experiment or next life is and for simulation game i also admit ther is none on console and for your avatar i dont know why i dont see it but i do know EA said no NBA live and no madden 2009 and this is not a good thing and i do know epic make their biggest title on 360 first there no confirmation about a pc gta4 and crytek said no more pc exclusive game and cod4 is the fps best seller on pc the reason to get a pc for gaming are not what it use to be .legol1

yep i agree, it is a great time for console owners. However, it has been, it is and it will always be a greater time for HighEnd PC owners. i think we all know that on GS, as long as consoles are not PC's and as long as there are developers for PC, most of the newest ideas will come to PC first. and the newest PC games will always be jaw dropping comparing to console games when it comes to graphics...

again with that WE DONT NEED its not you to decide of what pc gamer need ,and even if you decide YOU dont need ea sport game some people like theses franchises and they will not be able to find their copy in 2009 why EA think pc is not a good system for sport games? and if pc is 30% of the gaming market we should see multiplat games launch day one with the ps3 and 360. why wait for a pc version of a game if pc game are alot more easy to program than the ps3 ? legol1

Am i the only one not surprised that graphics card creators are bashing consoles, which, pretty much are a big threat to them? If people are buying consoles and moving from PC to console, there not buying graphics card.

Sure they make money from the card in the machine but consoles last a good 7 years now adays.

When I think PC I think M&K. The same way that I consider a 360 controller to be Analog/buttons and not Keyboard even though that attachment exists.

Graphic cards are like shampoo's. There are a new one comming out each day with some kind of "new" and refreshing formula. Now wouldn't it be cool if that same shampoo bottle would last 10 years instead of just 1 year before it started to age?

And yes I know that even though PC's are alot more superior it doesn't just mean better Graphics (though that does seem to be the thing Hermits like to point out the most) but I really don't care, consoles do just fine for me, the only time I ever use a PC for gaming is if a really REALLY good RTS game comes out, im aware Starcraft 2 is coming out and alot of people hype it as the next best RTS but im not going to go and buy a ridiculously priced PC for a single game.

Not many of us have $1000+ to spend on a high end computer, whilst we could get a decent console+games for around half the price.

First of all, there is a difference of opinion on playing pc and on consoles. Why are you calling me a hermit? I have never once bashed console graphics...I own a wii. You're whole arguement is that I should only play games for their graphics. I actually play competively for fps's so I turn my grpahics all the way down to get higher fps for an advantage. Do some research before you go shooitng your mouth off with random b.s.
