I bought and regretted buying an Alienware Alpha, and that just puts another hardware fact under my belt as far as what not to buy, but the IPAD PRO, goes in the category of what to buy....along with such systems as the SNES, PS2, 360, PS4 and more.

Anyway,1080p\60fps doesn't really matter. You could run SNES games at that resolution and it's not really impressive

The two have two totally different processors Air 2 is an A8X and the Pro has an A9X, The new specs on the Pro makes it the graphical power house of the tablet world, out performing every other tablet on the market.... Do your research for a change before making asinine statements, oh and as far as cost goes, Yes mine is over a $1100 after tax, a case, controller and AppleCare,but that's it, done after that if I choose I can just download from my choice of thousands of free games.

Whereas after your $200 your not done, your games are a constant expense and your cost can easily exceed $1200 or more.....3DS is on it's last legs, and there won't be another since the NX is combining both portable and console....you know like a TABLET.

Listen Mister-Man, you have not once list any of these suppose "free" games that are worth the purchase, what makes me laugh so hard not take you serious is that you actually spend over $1000 to make it your dedicated gaming device and you're telling me that I spend more on games that are better quality and aren't shitty microtransaction? Is that not the same justification you could use to say a Surface Pro 4 is better than an Ipad Pro given that it has better hardware than the Ipad??

That's not the same thing, my point being is if you had an iPad Air 2 last gen and those are the games you play, then you wasted a ton of money on a toy that can't even upgrade or have anything that is even optimize to run on new hardware!

Also, PC gamers buy new hardware to play newer games that take full advantage of their rigs, this is totally the opposite! Keep them coming, I can't stop laughing :D

LOL! Not one benchmarks are equal as Apple is running an ARM processor that uses an Mobile OS while the other is an x86 that runs a Full OS, they're not the same and stop drinking Apple's kool-aid marketing.

It really seems like the only thing the Ipad Pro has on the surface hardware wise is battery life and a nicer screen.

These guys gave it an attempt. Win went to the surface which had beefier hardware.

There are already certain racing and fighting games that look better on the Pro vs the Air 2, and I know this because my wife has an Air 2, and games like infinity blade 3, and Real Racing 3 look and run better on my Pro than her Air 2.

You know there are also stuff like physics, animation, sound, ai, and so on which is in a completely different league on pc/consoles. Tablets will always be limited handheld gaming devices that are over priced, especially anything from Apple.

Your basically asking Devs to go a generation back, for a product that costs 4 times more than the PS4, and doesn't last more than a couple of years before a new version is out. Yeah, good luck with that.

3DMarks Ice Store Unlimited has both CPU and GPU scores. On pure hardware performance, Surface 4 Pro beats iPad Pro.
