If it's a solid 30, then no, I don't really care.Â

this, someone who has experienced glorius pc gaming at 60 fps cant go back to 30 fps, at least without cringing at it.
Consolites back to downplaying 60fps and 1080p I see.:)

Looking strictly at resolution is the most stupid thing. Unlike PC's, consoles aren't playing ugly 2005 games in 1080p. They're expected to improve graphics fidelity, resolution, framerate, etc.[QUOTE="Grey_Eyed_Elf"]Someone born blind is perfectly content... My desktop PC is currently disassembled, and I haven't had time to install an OS on my HTPC. So, I've been playing plenty of games on my PS3 lately. I don't recall cringing at any point.[QUOTE="MFDOOM1983"]

Not to mention their games have to be smaller in scale, and have less effects and lower settings
For most games that I'm in to (2D platformers, 2D fighters, Hack n Slash) smooth framerate greatly improves the experience so I'm pro 60 FPS.

I play at 2560X1440 and have 16 GB of DDR3 and 4 GB of GDDR5 (GTX 690). And there are many rigs on this board that are as good if not better than mine. Go look in the Computer Hardware Board and check the Benchmark rankings. There are folks on here with some beast rigs. So be careful with your comments.

How is it a big deal? There's hardly any noticeable difference unless you're playing COD or the like
I'd take graphics any day

I have the ASUS PB278Q monitor and the Bose Companion 20 speakers. And as for consoles you also have no clue. But I can promise you that nothing that I own is "sad." What are you gaming on?

60fps is needed more so for FPS, Fighting and Driving games then anything else. When comes down to aiming, timing and seconds to achieve a goal you want 60FPS or more. For an RPG, Platform or strategy game, it's not really needed.

I dont have the Prolimatech anymore, i have a Corsair water coolerTough call. The thing is that 60fps does make a huge difference in terms of visuals. There's no doubt that a game looks and feels much much smoother in 60. I think of Metroid Prime and how that game might not have been the way it was were it only running in 30. But at the end of the day, it's mostly just a visual improvement and that's all.
But there are the occasional games that do in fact play better because they run at a smoother framerate. the two shining examples that come to mind are F-Zero GX and the Call of Duty games. I think it's fair to say that either one of those games would actually play worse were they not running in 60.
