Is there any reason to even own a Wii anymore???

The wii was an awesome console at launch with a large quantity of titles coming from Nintendo themselves, but is there any drive left for this console? The sale for the consoles was probably due to the new unique controller but now its just a big fat joke. Nintendo doesnt seem to supporting the console all that great either....i mean Wii Music? Wii Fit? whats next? Wii fart? Wii Eat? Wii touch?

All the hyped games havnt even done that well, such as that Day of Distaster, and Madworld.

Wheres my damn sequals Ninty, i seen 2 gears of war games in the lifespan its taken for you to release a bloody new Zelda :x

I will keep mine around for when the grandparents come over, so they have something to play. :p

Will if I were to buy a Wii now, there is a good back catalog of games, and interesting games coming out in the future like Marumasa (I think that's how it's spelled.)

only reason to own/play wii is if you like mario/zelda/metroid

I bought one first week and still have not found a reason to own one. I played all the major titles as well and the whole thing just feels very last gen to me.

Madworld scored 85 in metacritic so i dont see the flop..

Wii's are crap.The only games I enjoyed on it was Super Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart.It's good for multiplayer but crap for single player games.

games like madworld, house of the dead, SMG, zelda TP, metroid, paper mario, mario kart, SSBBand many many more

Ohhhh you had to do it... I've been wanting to pick one up, but have been researching and haven't seen a reason. Is the back catalogue good? And are there some good JRPG etc upcoming games? I've been looking but haven't seen too much, but i'm hoping someone has a better idea

well hardcore gamers like myself are satisfied with their wii's albeit want a bit more from it but what console owners doesn't want more from their consoles?

i'm loving madworld and am picking up NPC pikmin an Rune Factory Frontier next week, so in 7 days i'm playing a good action/beat em up in the vein of DMC, a great looking sim/RPG, and a good startegy adventure game

i'm happy not to mention the loads of good games on VC or WW

i'm looking forward to fatal frame, monster hunter 3, muramasa, punch out, excitebots, sin and punishment 2, conduit, klonoa this year along with final fantasy crystal bearers too and arc rise fantasia an little kings story AND dawn of discovery, the new tales Wii game

so thats3 JRPGs, two RTSs, 2 action RPGs, two sports/racing games, 2 good shooters, a great platformer and a terrific horror franchise (add cursed mountain too)

so thats 14 Wii games on my radar releasing this year, hmmm i guess i'm not a hardcore gamer

(i also hope RS2 and pikmin 3 make it out this year as well)

I was looking at picking up a Gamecube for $30 to play REmake and REmake 0. However I see that they are bringing them to the Wii, along with updated controls. As long as they port, or continue to remake games that are excellent, why should we care? As long as we continue to receive some new IP's and newer games in older series

i dont see how people , want to sell their consoles,

, you know what, theres lots of reasons to keep your consoles

1 if your a collector it gives you more games to collect,

2 it plays gc titles and vc loads of them

3 madworld etc new releases, as a matter of fact, next month is dead for ps3 360 releases lol, game informer release calandar,

it shows about 4 wii games a few psp and ds games and a few ps3 360 games lol none are worthy but still,

wii has more life in it then say ps3 360 does , since it takes longer to develope for 360 ps3, theres more dead months then wii

and the main reason is because well wii hasnt reached its potential just yet,

and if you sell it chances are you will regret it just like i have, with my snes,

I wouldn't call it a waste if the fans want it and it fixes the problems with the original. New games and sequels are great but there is nothing wrong with revisiting the past as well for new and long time fans.
